Tom Cruise: 'Mission: Impossible IV' Filming Begins!

Tom Cruise waves after a day of shooting scenes for Mission: Impossible IV on Wednesday (September 29) in Prague, Czech Republic.

The 48-year-old actor wore two very different outfits for filming – in one, he dressed as a Russian soldier, while the other included a Bruce Springsteen tee!

It was announced last night that Josh Holloway is the latest addition to the cast of MI:IV!

I am disappointed that his hair isn’t short like it was in the first and third films in the series.
It has been reported that Tom Cruise and Michael Nyqvist have a 5 page fight sequence at the end of the film. I hope that Tom Cruise uses a few KFM (Keysi Fighting Method) moves like he did in M:i:III.
I wish that they would film this in Armenia as well. Hollywood never does films there. In addition, It would be good if the plot is based on current affairs and the IMF battles a real world threat such as Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, Iranian extremists, North Korean extremists, Somali pirates, etc.

  • Teuta

It would be good if they include Henry Czerny, Thandie Newton, Anthony Hopkins, John Polson, Michelle Monaghan, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Maggie Q and Laurence Fishburne and hopefully conclude the series.
I hope that the main villain’s name will be Vanning which was originally going to be the name of the main villain in M:i:III before they changed it to Owen Davian.
I hope that Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts appear in M:i:IV as I’ve always wanted to see Tom Cruise do a movie with each of them.

Yep, he’s wearing his lifts. He should embrace his shortness.

  • loyal

Love Tom’s movies, very talented. No matter what he does in his personal life, I don’t care. He always gives 100% in his movies. And he has a lovely family.

  • angie

    lookin good

  • S*8hallo

    Ditto Loyal and Angie.

I enjoy Tom’s movies. What he does in his personal life means nothing to me.

I just watched the first MI on HBO …it was good. And the second one with Thandie Newton ..the love scene was hot.

His performance in Jerry Macguire was awesome!

    Tom ..you’re the best!

  • S*8hallo

Tom Cruise is a great actor. I simply love pretty much every movie he’s in because I am guaranteed a good performance.

I just watched the 1st M-I on HBO the other day …still good.
And the M-I with Thandie Newton…wow they had great chemistry..I found him to be really sexy.
Tom’s performance in Jerry McGuire still moves to me to this day and l sense he is a nice man. I’m happy for him and his family and I could care less about naysayers.

    Good work Tom!

  • annie

I love his movies. I also think he is a good man……with a very lovely family, for sure!
Maybe he’s not tall, but he’s not short either. He just happened to have married 2 women , who when they wear heels are over 6ft tall.
Have seen most of his movies, and he never disappoints. Looking forward to this movie.

I’m really tired of all those movie sequels! Where’s the creativity in Hollywood? Why are producers and directors paid so high to make the same movies?

  • to Gui

for one reason; sequels can make a huge amount of money; transformers 2, the lord of the rings trilogy, MI 11, MI 111, iron man 2,
    dark knight, etc etc.

  • allison

kragen, i’m with you there. in my opinion he looks a lot more handsome with shorter hair. i loved it short and spiky for jerry maguire. i always thought the long-hair made him look like he was trying too hard.

Ummm, wasn’t he just all tan the other day with Cameron at the Knight and Day premiere in Europe?? And now he’s all pale and gross looking. He must go out with makeup on when the paps are around! These pics look like he’s on his way to the makeup trailer!!

  • Really!

To me the first M:I is one of the most underrated action films in history (seriously). The sequels aren’t that good, but hopefully Brad Bird will do great things with this one.

  • THIS BRONX says

Those who can’t do well in the movies go back to Sequels which is
why Matt Damon said he is not doing another Bourne movie sequel..

Can’t get professional actors eh…tv stars and Oscar nominees
Ving Rhames and Jeremy Renner…The last one was great too
bad he has to go back to doing MI ‘s again..

  • pr person

    Blech!!!!!

  • melody

    He’s a cheesedouche.

  • marta

@Kragen: he looks much better with longer hair

  • jay

    too short!

  • hmmm

Love Tom, he is always good

  • ummright

I saw video of Tom on a entertainment show this week and his face is looking bad. He is really aging when the camera gets a close up of him.

  • lynn

I didn’t get excited with any of the MI movies came out. I didn’t care much for this one either. But when I heard Jeremy Renner was gonna be in it….well let’s just say I can’t wait to see this. Renner’s gonna be badazz!!

  • ellie’

now this is a movie i will definitely see.. tom cruise the best actor ever…and hes so good looking..

  • Star Fox

Whatever body issues he may have are his business and not yours to speculate on and judge, #3. Also, it’s not exactly vanity when height tricks are used while filming.

Where would you get such a stupid idea, #15? And Matt Damon IS doing a fourth Bourne flick!

Do you know what professional actors are?

That’s what happens to living organisms, #21. They age. Cruise is not exception. What do you want him to do about it? Get plastic surgery so you can then bash him for trying to take care of what you were whining about was a problem?

  • hmmm

<3 Tom, he is always good

  • laverdadduele

I love Tom. I think he’s much better looking and classy than today’s so called “stars” (see Kellan Lutz, Robert Pattison, etc).

  • mm

    Looking good in picture 10

  • so judgemental

Tom Cruise: ‘Mission: Impossible IV’ Filming Begins! In other words.. Tom Cruise: Desperate Bid to Remain Relevant Begins!

Thanks a lot Cruise for lowering your salary to the lowest SAG allows so that you could get this joke green lit thus delaying the actually more relevant Star Trek sequel. You totally suck!!

  • Jokergurl

It’s impossible to find him lifts where he’s actually as tall as his wife Katie or Cameron Diaz. I just don’t know what to think of Tom Cruise these days, I miss the old Tom, before he became the third echelon in the Scientology hierarchy, seriously he’s up close to the leader right now.

That crazy fan who posts here under 50 different names posted tons of fake positive reviews on the IMDB board for Knight and Day. looks like they already started working this place.
