OlderJake Gyllenhaal: Beard is Back!
Jake Gyllenhaal goes for the caveman look again, sporting a full beard during the 2010 New Yorker Festival In Conversation at NYC’s SVA Theater 1 on Saturday (October 2).
When asked what he learned from playing Bubble Boy, the 29-year-old actor said, “To take chances like [Johnny] Depp.”
Last week, Jake sampled food from super chefs like David Chang and Robert Newton at Le Fooding, a culinary festival at PS1 in Queens, N.Y.

Very unhygienic, a beard. It traps all manner of food particles, bacteria, dander and face leakage. Not pleasant as well as being the cause of a nasty rash should a person be unwise enough to kiss one. I think he should shave it off again.

He’s so handsome it’s a shame to hide his face behind that shaggy beard. But I would rather see Jake with a beard on his face, than another horrible beard on his arm. If he has to choose on which beard to stay away from, than he should keep the fake, female ones away.
I like it when a good looking man wears a beard, as long as he can grow a full one. There’s something appealing about knowing there’s a cute guy under there. lol However, men who can’t grow a good beard shouldn’t try…ie. Keanu Reeves and Jackson Rathbone.
