Selena Gomez shows off one of British singer Cheryl Cole‘s Promise rings after hanging out with the British pop star.
“Still in complete shock that I met my idol….. :)” Selena tweeted.
Selena, 18, and Cheryl, 27, met at the launch party for Promise, Cheryl‘s new capsule ring collection, on Wednesday (September 29) held at Nobu in London, England.
The two singers noshed on blackened cod, sashimi, crab tacos and tuna tartare at the swanky soiree.
“My dream would be to work with Cheryl Cole,” Selena has said. “Her songs are amazing, they are so much fun. They almost remind me of a modern Britney Spears, because they’re like the new generation of ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time.’”

But I’d hold off on that if I was you. she is currently the most hated figure in the UK at the moment because of her treatment of the Girl Group she is mentoring this year on XF UK
She’s only famous for her “looks”…… she can’t sing at all.. not hating, just saying it how it is. Will.i.am made that song with her and is trying to make her famous in America because he’s in love with her.. he’s already admitted it several times…… it’s a sad world we live in.. talent’s nothing don’t even bother if you average/ugly because you’ll get no where. Oh well.
I don’t see how Selena can compare Cheryl Cole to Britney Spears. Britney Spears can sing…she has immense talent and (love her or hate her) is one of the most successful singers of all time. Cheryl Cole is more similar to Victoria Beckham. A made-up girl band member who can’t sing and married a footballer. Only Cheryl doesn’t do fashion like Victoria does fashion. It’s like comparing Taylor Momsen to Madonna. It doesn’t work!

Let me guess, they have the same management company. I find it hard to believe CC would be her idol when she has done nothing in the US, only released a few singles, her voice is hardly good etc…She’s pretty and is a judge on X Factor UK, but she has only been on the A-list UK radar for about 2 years.
shes rlly nice and super down to earth. If you met her you’d know how chill she is. Shes so easy to get along with and super sweet.

America learn the difference with the brits. Not all of their accents mean they’re smart or come from royalty. Most of these people are from the countryside or poor neighborhoods or highschool dropouts.

Okay Selena I know you are in shock of meeting your “idol” cheryl but comparing Cheryl Cole to Britney freaking Spears. Britney can sing…she has tremendous talent and (love her or hate her it is true) and is one of the most successful and influential artists of all time. not beening mean or anything but tbh she would have to quit x factor if she went through (gamu) she should’nt have even auditioned for x factor because she should have known she would get found out about the credit card i thought it was a bit stupid to audition.
well that chick sets her idols real low. what happened to admiring real people? you know? erykah badu, kathleen hanna and malcolm x (just for starters). but i guess gomez is just narcissistic because she admires someone who looks almost exactly like her. what a bore.
