OlderIan Somerhalder: Young Hollywood Hottie
Ian Somerhalder drops by the Young Hollywood Studios for an interview on Friday (October 15) in Los Angeles.
The 31-year-old actor Vampire Diaries star may be getting a new love interest on the hit CW show.
Former Supernatural actress Lauren Cohan has been cast as Mystic Falls’ newest vampire, Rose, who possibly catches Damon’s (Ian‘s character) eye!
After the season wraps in April, Ian is headed to Africa and Central America with the Pew organization and Conservation International.
“Then I’m going to Washington for a Congressional Delegation that is going to be totally crazy,” he told the Los Angeles Times. “But I want to be able to get in front of Congress and explain the ideas that we have and how to go about them.”

Hot AND intelligent, the guy is just perfect.
I think he is a respectable person. He really does care about the environment and animal welfare.
The Vampire Diaries is a great show. Season 1 was excellent. The only problem with it now is Ian (Damon) is totally whimpy now. He follows Elena around like a lost puppy dog. This guy used to be so hot when he would chase different women and be te tough guy. Now when he is on screen you know what to expect. Damon acting all whipped. BORING!!!!
His eyes are SO blue. I’d get drowned in them. I hate it when guys have eyes THAT piercing blue…. ‘cuz I can’t look at ‘em straight in the eyes for long. I have to look down :D …………. I know I’m weak!

I like the new Damon… I like how he hurts people and then later on you know why. His character makes you mad and then makes you love him even more!!!! I’m sure it’ll be like that all through the series!! Love him!!

Ian’s crooked grin is sweet. I’m glad that he’s on another show. When he was killed off of Lost I was really sad because I liked his character and he’s quite handsome to boot. Physically, he looks good, but I do think he needs to put on a few though as he seems to have lost a bit of weight.

When I saw the pictures of him, before I read the comments, I was thinking the same thing!!! He really does have the Rob Lowe eyes and jaw line.
Loved loved the Vampire Diaries in the beginning. Not so much now they should change the name of the show to the Damon show. Way to much attention is put on him chasing his brothers girlfriend. I mean he was great in the beginning not now. It is just weird going after a woman your brother has slept with. Yuck
