Kelly Clarkson Joins Jordin Sparks 'In the Heights'

Kelly Clarkson joins fellow American Idol winner Jordin Sparks backstage at the Broadway show In the Heights on Sunday (October 24) in New York.

The 28-year-old “Breakaway” singer went to the show to support Jordin who is starring in the musical as Nina, a college dropout who returns home to face the consequences.

Last week, Lourdes Leon spent her birthday at the show and visited with Jordin backstage afterward.

The night before, Kelly checked out the musical Next to Normal. She recently tweeted that her new album will drop in early 2011!

I usually love Kelly but I sure as hell would not have recognized her from this photo, if her name hadn’t been mentioned in this article!

Kelly usually never wears makeup, only when she’s working. Even on Idol if you look at her packets (the video before her performances) she never had makeup on.

Makeup or no make up Kelly always looks like Kelly. :)

Sparks is horrible on the stage. I have seen In the Heights a few times and she was really bad and uncomfortable on stage.

Excuse me? She’s horrible on stage? To each their own, but have you heard the girls’ voice? Does No Air, Tattoo, SOS, Battlefield, One Step at a Time, This is my now.. right a bell? After Kelly and Carrie, she’s the only other Idol winner to reach such great success.

@Tom: The New York newspapers do not agree with your comment at all!. They rated Jordins performance a B+ which is very good! I love Jordin Sparks and had the pleasure of seeing her “Battlefield” tour and loved every minute and “In The Heights” performance as well. Love you Jordin Sparks and keep up the great work!!!
