Hayden Panettiere Transforms into Amanda Knox

Hayden Panettiere covers up her platinum pixie cut with a wig while filming the upcoming Lifetime movie The Amanda Knox Story on Monday (October 25) in Rome, Italy.

The telepic centers around Amanda (pictured on the right), an American college student serving a 26-year jail sentence in Italy. Authorities have accused of killing her British roommate in 2007 while they were studying abroad.

Also spotted on set: Italian actor Paolo Romio who plays Amanda‘s boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito. He was also convicted of murder, sexual assault and obstruction of justice.

The Amanda Knox Story is expected to air sometime next year.

I think Amanda could be innocent. They had hardly any hard DNA evidence that said she killed Meredith. The anti-American small-town Italian jury/police/town people were against her from the start.

    So true Halli !!

    Dance In The Dark Says:

Why are they giving publicity to this evil, sadistic cold blooded killer and her equally digusting ‘boyfriend’?

The evidence was overwhelming. It is clear and obvious that they did it. The jury was not ‘Anti American’ as some like to say, the hard work of the collaborating Italian, British and American officials secured their deserved imprisonment.
I hope they both rot in jail.

I’ve seen and heard the evidence, just don’t see Amanda or her bf guilty of murder. I think it was aired on dateline, 48 hours or something a couple times and still don’t see how they found them guilty. Certainly never want my life held in the Italian gov’t hands. The parents can’t even speak out in fear of getting arrested.

    Texas Girl Says:

This is sick. Do you think the family and friends of poor Meredith want to see her killer sympathised with, or more infuriatingly see her portrayed as innocent?

At least it’s only a Lifetime movie, and Hayden can’t act, so not many people will see it. I for one won’t be watching.

Justice for Meredith! Knox is so blatantly guilty!

This is sick. Do you think the family and friends of Meredith want to see her killer glorified, and worse yet portrayed as innocent?

Justice for Meredith! Knox is so blatantly guilty! Let her rot.

    Harry Rag Says:

Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were unanimously found guilty of the murder of Meredith Kercher because the evidence against them was overwhelming.

They repeatedly told the police a pack of lies in the days after Meredith’s murder.

On 5 November 2007, Knox and Sollecito were confronted with proof that they had lied and were given another opportunity to tell the truth. However, they both chose to tell the police even more lies.

Sollecito’s new alibi was shattered by computer forensic evidence and his mobile phone records.

Knox accused an innocent man, Diya Lumumba, of murdering Meredith despite knowing full well that he was completely innocent. She didn’t recant her false and malicious allegation against Lumumba the whole time he was in prison. She admitted that it was her fault that Lumumba was in prison in an intercepted conversation with her mother.

Knox’s account of what happened on 2 November 2007 is contradicted by her mobile phone records.

Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito both gave multiple conflicting alibis. Neither Knox nor Sollecito have credible alibis for the night of the murder despite three attempt each. At the trial, Sollecito refused to corroborate Knox’s alibi that she was at his apartment.

Rudy Guede’s bloody footprints led straight out of Meredith’s room and out of the house. He didn’t lock Meredith’s door, remove his trainers, go into Filomena’s room or the bathroom that Meredith and Knox shared.

He didn’t scale the vertical wall outside Filomena’s room or gain access through the window. The break-in was clearly staged. This indicates that somebody who lived at the cottage was trying to deflect attention away from themselves and give the impression that a stranger had broken in and killed Meredith.

Guede had no reason to stage the break-in and there was no physical evidence that he went into Filomena’s room.

The scientific police found a mixture of Amanda Knox’s DNA and Meredith’s blood on the floor.

There was no physical evidence that Rudy Guede went into the blood-spattered bathroom. However, the scientific police found irrefutable proof that Knox and Sollecito tracked Meredith’s blood into this bathroom.

Amanda Knox’s DNA was found mingled with Meredith’s blood in three different places in the bathroom: on the ledge of the basin, on the bidet, and on a box of Q Tips cotton swabs. Knox’s DNA and Meredith’s blood had united into one single streak on the basin and bidet which means they were deposited simultaneously.

Sollecito left a visible bloody footprint on the blue bathmat.

According to two imprint experts, the woman’s bloody shoeprint on the pillow under Meredith’s body matched Knox’s foot size. The bloody shoeprint was incompatible with Meredith’s shoe size.

Knox’s and Sollecito’s bare bloody footprints were revealed by luminol in the hallway. Knox’s DNA and Meredith’s DNA was found mixed together in one of the bloody footprints.

An abundant amount of Raffaele Sollecito’s DNA was found on Meredith’s bra clasp. Sollecito must have applied considerable pressure to the clasp in order to have left so much DNA. The hooks on the clasp were damaged which confirms that Sollecito had gripped them tightly.

Amanda Knox’s DNA was found on the handle of the double DNA knife and a number of independent forensic experts – Dr. Patrizia Stefanoni, Dr. Renato Biondo and Professor Francesca Torricelli – categorically stated that Meredith’s DNA was on the blade.

Sollecito knew that Meredith’s DNA was on the blade which is why he twice lied about accidentally pricking her hand whilst cooking.

The defence experts were unable to prove that there had been any contamination. Alberto Intini, head of the Italian police forensic science unit, pointed out that unless contamination has been proved, it does not exist.

Amanda Knox voluntarily admitted that she involved in Meredith’s murder in her handwritten note to the police on 6 November 2007. She stated on at least four separate occasions that she was at the cottage when Meredith was killed.

There was 239 pieces of evidence against Rudy at the crime scene. This is not Rudy’s first time, he has a criminal record with harassment and knives. Some DNA was on the knife and bra clasp is being under attack by some of the worlds formost experts on DNA. She lived in the home with the woman, of course her DNA would be there. The lead prosecuter is on trial himself for abuse of power. Justice was not served and I hope and pray she get’s another trial.

    Theuth Says:

Please, it’s disgusting how people feel so entitled to speculate about this case so soon! I lost any respect I had for Hayden for portraying the “famous” Amanda Knox. I’m pretty sure this movie will be all about saying she was a sweet girl who was charged with murder without any reason. NOT.
I’m Italian and remember how much this case has been discussed on television AND on the internet (so I’ve read also comments on American board), to the point that I changed channel every time it was on, like for all crime news in the last 10 years here (Erba case, for example. Or Garlasco. Or Erika&Omar story): Amanda and Raffaele AREN’T innocent, but it was difficult estabilish who killed Meredith, who helped removing the corpse, who just lied between the three involved. They kept accusing each other and other people and being contradicted by further evidences.
It’s almost embarassing how Meredith is considered like a sort or new martyr and the Italian police like formed by idiots. Maybe there isn’t the American CSI, but the investigation was executed in the best way possible given the circumstances: and all the accusation of anti-Americanism are simply ridiculous.

@Halli what a dumb statement you just made. There is no propaganda , lets not forget an Italian student was found guilty also. and there was evidence to prove otherwise. Meredith got justice in the end.

    teri Says:

So the American authorities also trying to get another trial for Amanda are also wrong. Not sure why your being so hateful, this is a discussion board and your wanting to call me a b..ch and be childish instead of discussing. Ok, your right and I’m wrong and you were apparently there and witnessed everything. Your word is no better than mine, it’s my opinion they are innocent. I guess the people around the world working for free to get another trial are also stupid itches according to you. God forbid someone think differently.

“There was 239 pieces of evidence against Rudy at the crime scene.”

Would you care to support your opinion with some actual proof e.g. a citation from an official court document?

You really need to get your facts straight. Rudy Guede didn’t have a criminal record at the time of the murder.

I suggest you read the following sentence very carefully:

“Everything I have said in regards to my involvement in Meredith’s death, even though it is contrasting, are the best truth that I have been able to think.” (Amanda Knox, 6 November 2007).

    barbie Says:

I don’t see what Nationality has got to do with the case? Why do those that think Amanda is innocent cite her as an American all the time. She was proven to be guilty of murder via a fair judicial process. Authorities from the US, Italy and UK participated. She is considered to be a cold-blooded murderer and deserves to be in jail. End of story.

Those that are supporting Amanda Knox, think deep and hard about your motives. If it’s because she is American, consider that fact that if she committed this heinous crime in the US, she could well be facing the Electric Chair.

  21. 21
    Chuck Says:

@Texas Girl: Base on the evidence or lack of evidence I am convinced that Knox is innocent. One of the many pieces of evidence that points to the the fact that they were not involved was the lack of footprints in the room of Knox but not of the guy that actually did it. If the case was in an American court she would not be in prison now but a graduated University of Washington honor student.

    She should be freed

    lauren Says:

I agree with Barbie, nationality is irrelevant. If it had been a british and italian student that killed an american,im sure alot of you along with the u.s media, would change its tune.As for the anti american bias…well an italian was also a suspect and punished for Meredith’s murder. If it had been an italian that had been murdered then maybe your suspicions would sound less stupid, but at the end of it the italian and the american were together,so if one went don it was more then likely the other would too.in this case the italians would protect knox to try and protect one of their own citizens. At the end of the day three different authorities from different countries were involved and they all found her guilty.
