Fergie Covers 'Glamour' December 2010

Fergie looks cozy in a Dsquared2 blazer on the cover of Glamour magazine’s December 2010 issue, on newsstands Tuesday, November 9!

Here’s what the 35-year-old singer had to share:

On reaching this level of success and fulfilling her dreams: “For some lucky reason or gift from God, I’ve known what I wanted to do since I was a little girl. And even through disappointments and rejection, there was something inside of me that wouldn’t give up. I’m a survivor, and I’m very driven.”

On having self-esteem: “[If] you start making the right choices for yourself, all of a sudden you start feeling better and better. You’d be surprised how addicting high self-esteem is.”

Her advice to young women: “There were periods of my life when a lot of people didn’t believe in me. [But] I still had faith in myself. I really had to ask myself life questions. Where do I see myself in five years? Create a ladder for yourself, and walk up the steps. Climb that ladder.”

On watching other women flock after her husband: “For me, I’m not a jealous person. That’s just not my thing. You have to have trust in your relationship.”

FYI: In the shot from inside the mag, Fergie is wearing a Sonia Rykiel dress, Neil Lane jewelry and Christian Louboutin shoes.

    Airbrushed much?
Truth is I like Fergie….she’s scrappy and independent but stop with the airbrush you glossy magazine publishers…enough is enough!

Spot on. Lousy Photoshop. Also, compare her cover pic to the pic where she is sitting in the studio…

Her advice to young women: If you want to make it in Hollywood, regardless of your artistic talent, you need to undergo esthetic surgical and non-surgical procedures in order to fit a stereotype.

Fake body and face like most of her colleagues, sad cause she’s talented.

    Thai Says:

Talented? Sorry, but I fail to see her talent.

you don’t have to see her talent. all that matters is that the legions of her fans do. as for the cover being photo shopped, no big surprise there. i have yet to see on that has not been photoshopped.

    Angie Says:

Now THAT is a good role model for girls. You can accomplish anything and beat addictions. Having self esteem and loving who you are is important. Good to hear a woman saying a man didn’t save her life.

    Remember Says:

Glamour talks about loving your body but they photoshop everyone to look like twigs. They’re full of ****. Fergie has a good voice. She needs to use it more often. Ditch the autotune!

    Great cover!
Who knew there were all these photoshop experts out there? I guess it’s hard to find a job since EVERYONE is an expert.

    Jokergurl Says:

Fergie strikes me is pretty independent and a strong person (you’d have to be to beat an addiction to meth) so she didn’t need a guy but who did she get? A total dashing, cool, hunk, Danny McCoy himself Josh Duhamel! Lucky gal!

    Larry Says:

Can’t recognize her too but still love her.
