Jake Gyllenhaal shows off his scruffy side on the cover of Esquire UK‘s December 2010 issue, on newstands November 4th.
Here is what the 29-year-old actor had to share about his upcoming flick Love & Other Drugs:
On getting intimate with Anne Hathaway: “We talked about what we thought was sexy, about what were the things that interested us, and through the discussion became pretty intimate with each other.”
On sex scenes with Anne: “Anne and I had already had sex on film (in Brokeback Mountain). There’s something about the way Annie and I both work which is inherently very musical. It’s all about rhythm. There’s a rhythm to writing, there’s a rhythm to sports, there’s a rhythm to sex.”
On being naked on set: “Annie, because as a woman I think it’s harder. She said at one point, ‘Well, we’re both topless and we both show our butts.’ And I was like, ‘Hmm, but it’s a little different for you.’”
On the amount of nudity in the movie: “I was naked a lot in the movie. I was naked in more of it than was even in the final cut. A director’s cut? I don’t even know how that would be rated.”

He isn’t with Taylor. That was all cheap publicity for his new film and her album/fragrance. Have to say I lost a chunk of respect for him after that.
Oh look, how convienent, Jake has a new movie to promote and Ms. Swift has a new album to promote and they are getting all this PR about some fake new romance. Being that Jake has had a string of movie fails, does he really think that a new beard will help his career? I think his latest PR romance makes him just look sad and desperate. He went from being the perfect boring boyfriend and step-dad with Reese to what? trying to be some wild guy who can keep up the partying with an annoying 20 year old? What do they even talk about? Cheerleader practice and what to wear to the prom? Jake, I’ve lost respect for you. You’ve become just another Holloywood wanna be.

Since they were in Brokeback Mountain I thought Anne & Jake looked good together. It’s known they get along very well. But oh yeah she’s not a blonde. If Jake thinks hanging out with TS will benefit his career, he better just stick to trying to be the actor he was when he was nominated for all those awards.

Anne is a grown up with her own career. There is no reason for her to sign a bearding contract, so no reason for them to date.

He is running out of options, meaning that he is running out of women willing to sign bearding agreements.
Why else would a man that’s nearly thirty be dating a child?
They certainly couldn’t have anything in common.

This whole thing with Swifty has to be the worst PR stunt since Heidi and Spencer faked their divorce. The story in US Weekly is so sacharine, it writes like bad Taylor Swift fanfiction. Seriously though, the longer this goes on the worse it looks for Jake, he’s become a laughing stock over the whole situation. She neither looks nor acts like a woman, there’s nothing vaguely sexual about her, so why would a 29 year old man want to be associated with someone romantically when such person is has the emotional maturity and physical aspects of a teenager. If it’s a real hook up, it makes him look skeevy but if it’s for PR, it makes him look foolish.
He’s an expert tease with words. Perhaps all he is is a tease, not a performer. But I can say why I think he is sucking up to Taylor. She has just had a big success and a lot of money will be rolling in. When he lost Witherspoon he lost a “lot of money”.
