Chelsea Handler: NBC Comedy Based on 'Vodka'

Chelsea Handler‘s book, Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea, is about to be turned into an NBC comedy!

The show will be based on the 35-year-old funnywoman’s life in her twenties. Deadline notes that although the protagonist will be named Chelsea and will have many of the same traits as Handler, she’ll have a different job than the comedian and author.

Chelsea recently booked a scripted comedy series on E! called After Lately and played a role in Reese Witherspoon‘s new movie, This Means War.

I love love loveeeee this book! But I can’t see this show being very funny since Chelsea won’t be playing the role and it’ll be censorsed since it’s not on HBO or something

Am I the only one who thinks that her reading from a teleprompter is NOT funny?

@Los Angeles Bankruptcy Attorne: If you think she is such an UGLY HAG why the hell are you wasting your time reading news about her? Get a life you loser.

    Jennifer Says:

@sav: I @Los Angeles Bankruptcy Attorne: She actually only reads off her teleprompter for the opening monologue of her show, which lasts all of a minute or so. And her opening bits are normally quite funny. Do you just sit and watch tv you don’t like so you can ***** about it later?

Jennifer Aniston, shut up already ! Your career is so over. And, yes, your friend is the same old ugly hag as you are.

Handler and bullies on the show are like grown ass mean girls…and the men are like bullies.

Since there is always an audience for this crude humor and meaness…we have choices.

I decided a while ago …I won’t watch…nor will I watch her new show on desperate NBC.

Attacking me because I don’t agree with you…makes no sense on an entetainment blog.

It’s My opinion…if YOU don’t like it…you should take your own advice and NOT comment on it. I’m a viewer and I’m entitled to an opinion…just cause you don’t like what I said..that’s your prob!.

Glorifying binge drinking, esp vodka, is weak. People who drink to excess on a regular basis are in need of help. Why promote excess use of any drugs with a tv series? This is not entertaining, it’s depressing.
