Synopsis: A whimsical fish-out-of-water story about two spoiled sisters: Nora (Belle), a law student, and Mary (Vega), an undergrad party girl, living with their father in a luxurious mansion in Beverly Hills. When dad suddenly passes away, their posh lives are turned upside down. They discover they have been left penniless and are forced to move into their estranged aunt Aurelia’s (Adriana Barraza) modest but lively home in the Latino-centric Boyle Heights neighborhood of East LA.
The movie also stars Wilmer Valderrama and is set to be released January 28!

Alexa Vega starred in a LIFETIME movie a few years ago about teen bullying. Her character was betrayed by a bunch of mean girls who bullied the hell out of her …she wound up tyring to kill herself…it was very moving.
She should try to stick with roles like that. She has range and she comes across well on camera.

That was the EXACT plotline to Material Girls with the Duff sisters. Come on hollywood, PLEASE come up with an original idea or start hiring people that have original ideas.

Barraza leaves his country to no longer play maids in soap operas and in the US she does the same. Anyway…
