Jessica Alba Covers 'Elle' December 2010

Jessica Alba is pretty in pink on the cover of Elle magazine’s December 2010 issue, on newsstands Wednesday, November 17!

Here’s what the 29-year-old Little Fockers actress had to share:

On owning up to her choice of roles: “I know I haven’t been swimming in the deep end with some of the movies I’ve done. I wasn’t trying to. I knew what they were.”

On her personality: “I’m shy. I don’t like being the center of attention. But when I do comedy, I lose all inhibition and introspection. I no longer care.”

On gaining confidence in her craft: “I’d been so afraid of criticism ever since I was young. Every time I’d get a critique or some redirection, I’d always just take it very personally, but now I have no problem with it. It’s just a chance to try things a different way. To play more with a character. It also gives me a chance to have some input, to use my voice.”

On being selective with her roles: “The time I’m not spending with my kid has to be worth it, so when I sat down with my agents after I was ready to go back to work, I told them: It’s all about the directors.”

I don’t know why, but she really annoy me.

  • rosie

my friend who works at a store in L.A. saw her not long ago and she is the biggest snooty conceited terror.
She was so rude and uppety to the employees.
Her husband Cash was however very nice and felt embarassed.

Yes, Jessica… already lame unnecessary sequels like Little Fockers and Spy Kids 4 is definitely worth it….she thinks she is a serious actress….hahaha

  • Kirsten

Another beautiful actress who is completely full of herself and bad at her craft. All of these interviews sound the same. She needs to get over herself.

  • gina

Not the least bit humble, is she?

“It’s all about the directors” translation: “Only the best for someone of my talents”. Incredible ego. Look out Penelope, Sandra, Meryl, Nicole, Yeah, right.

  • Annie

I like how she says it’s her choice to be in lame movies. We all know no one will hire you to act in quality films b/c you can’t act.

  • Jime

so he chooses to do bad movies? ….
I don’t like her, but Im loving that outfit

  • innominedei

Oh dear… where would she be if she didn’t have those physical assets and look amazing in designer clothes? Nowhere? Yeah, that sounds about right.

  • lexy hates bilson

She looks beautiful! She makes movies she wants b/c she can afford to! At least she’s actually getting work!!!

  • Helena

Time for her to disappear. She has Resorted to making pointless sequels, after all. Spy Kids 4?

…and to think, she was kind of promising in Dark Angel.

  • Jenna

Jeebus, wasn’t she just on the cover of Elle? I could have swore that I’ve just seen here a couple of months ago. I’m subscribed to Elle for the past 7 years now, and I’m pretty sure in the last two years, I’ve seen her on the cover at least 3 or 4 times. Talk about recycling the same kind of “celebrities”. I really think Elle is lacking lately. Last month, I received my issue with LC from the Hills on the cover. Seriously, I’m this close to stop my subscription. I’d like to see fresh faces and real celebrities with talent such as Carey Mulligan, Natalie Portman, Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett, for example. Putting back models on their covers wouldn’t hurt too. Gisele is a fine example. I really think Joe Zee is to blame. He’s after his own fame and fortune, rather than focusing on his job. Ugh. Thank goodness for my Vogue and Bazaar subscriptions. Sorry, just needed to vent as this no-talent shitty actress annoys the hell out of me :D

  • Lilakoi Moon

She’s seriously LUCKY to be that gorgeous. I love the outfit but she comes off as arrogant ! “Shy” my a.s.s. She knows she’s pretty and milks it for all its worth!

  • Butter_Fly

I don’t care for her but I love that outfit!

  • offtheproperty

She was all star-struck with her fame at first like a little girl, shy and full of wonder. Then she pretty quickly got bored and annoyed with all the attention and demands and became a complete pouty pain. Then she reconciled with her longtime bf Cash, got married and had her beautiful baby daughter Honor Marie. She almost immediately became so much more confident, secure and serene and just started to take everything in stride like a good woman and a real movie star. You Rock Alba !

  • etonfljerseys

    so pink ~~~ I like

  • nata

I used to like her, but she is always complaining or saying something highly obnoxious. She needs to get over herself.

  • Gar

Such a pretty, delusional girl. After Dark Angel she could’ve been where Blake Lively is now (like her or not, she’s getting crazy good offers), but she squandered her shot with vanity. She chose to go with the hot chick movies rather than really work on her acting. Then she chose to get pregnant, in the process voiding her hot chick image (yes I think moms are sexy too but it goes against the image she cultivated). So now she’s stuck, and the funny but sad thing is that she refuses to admit it.

  • yay

i just realised that she resembles irina shayk! thought it was her for a mo.

  • marebear

    “It’s all about the directors”……

Yeah, because “Machete” was SOOO good!

  • laverdadduele

If you don’t like being the center of attention, what the f***k are you doing in the entertainment business? What a stupid POS.

  • Glee

I cant stand this female she is a whiny little bi–h, shouldn’t that be coming from her child?
