'Megamind' Tops Weekend Box Office
Megamind is the box office champion of this weekend!
The DreamWorks animated film, featuring the voices of Brad Pitt, Tina Fey and Will Ferrell, brought in $47.5 million and easily took home first place.
Second was Robert Downey, Jr. and Zach Galifianakis‘ Due Date, with a healthy $33.6 million.
Third was the Tyler Perry directed For Colored Girls, with $20.2 million, followed by Red with $9 million and Saw 3D with $8 million.
Deadline notes that James Franco‘s 127 Hours screened at only 4 theaters in New York and L.A. but had “massive crowds and long lines all day” of audiences waiting to see the film.
