Alexander Skarsgard leaves the Urth Cafe after grabbing a cup of coffee on Friday (November 12) in Los Angeles.
Earlier this week, the 34-year-old True Blood star visited his girlfriend Kate Bosworth on the set of her movie BFF & Baby.
Last month, the couple went to the movies together on a date night after spending the night together the day before at the Scream Awards.
Alexander‘s True Blood co-star Ryan Kwanten is one of Gap‘s new faces. He is featured in the holiday ad campaign along with fellow Aussie Isabel Lucas.

Lately the overexposure of him and his relationship has completely turned me off from him. Don’t get me wrong I still think he’s gorgeous, but to me he’s just lost some of the charm that made me adore him so much when he came onto the hollywood scene.

Sorry but I agree with @just me. He has definitely lost some luster after the Kate Bosworth thing. Besides, his acting is okay but nothing to write home about seriously!! Funny, how JJ is now mentioning Ryan Kwanten again about the Gap ad. JJ ignored the fabulousness that is Ryan both professionally and looks wise. Now that he scored the role of Manson(which lots of actors wanted!!) he and everyone else is taking a real look at him now. Ryan looks absolutely adorable in the Gap ads. also we have very limited photoes the day alex visited kate, gossip states he brought lunch for kate and she was delighted when alex visited well it’s clear from the recent JJ pics her face expression looked angry and it was clear she was eating from the craft table (well she pretended to eat).
also we do not know what time alex actually came onto the set maybe after kate had her pretend dinner with the cast and then alex grabed his lunch arrived and sat in her trailer waiting for kate that proberbly upset kate no photo opportunity to be seen with him
my question if alex wanted to visit kate why hide in her trailer pretending not to be seen when he clearly new he would be paped and there were no tweet sighting’s.

lol, I think you you guys have set your expectations a little too high about AS. TB shoots over 6-7months of a year so there is not much time left for anyone to do much else.
I don’t know why you keep setting him up against and idolising RK, although I do agree, he is a great actor. But ever since TB he has done a voice over for an owl cartoon (yay!) and landed the role of Charles Manson (it’s not even on IMDb yet)
Alex on the other hand, became famous in GK (in which I still think he was brilliant, that’s what made me watch TB), did 2 voice overs (Metropia and Moomins), had supporting roles in13 and Beyond the Pole, shot Straw Dogs (ok, this might go straight to dvd, so I am not sure) Battleship (Alex, really??! – I hope he does die in the first 30 mins, lol) and Melancholia with Lars von Trier (I think this will be his saving grace). He also did a European tour and other appearances, I think he worked really hard. And @evathediva #49: when will he get “coveted magazine shots”? eeerrrr… The Rolling Stone cover which was the most talked about cover of the year?!

Actually don’t want him to drop Bosworth!! I think they are perfect for one another. Very little talent, famewhoring, pathetic wannabes. Alex will last as long as TB does and then after that on to no mans land. Kate will be done with him at that point. Also, to back up the joel kinnaman thing…he is way hot in Snabba Cash but he plays up or down his looks for roles. But the man is a major hottie when he is all himself. Just watch Snabba Cash. I was the one that wrote how awesome joel was a few posts back and how when Alex was asked about awesome Swedish films out right NOW he says Let the Right One In which came out several years back. Snabba Cash came out this year to rave reviews and award nominations. Like I said before I think Alex is jealous of that success and of Joel’s talent and that is why he did not mention it. But hollywood has already taken notice of joel and he has signed with an agent here and has just finished filming a new movie in Russia, a pilot in Vancouver, and will start filming Snabba’s sequels soon. The director is also filming a new Denzel flick. Joel has the talent that Alex should have but will never get because he is too busy thinking he already has it and calling the paps in the spare time. Joel is the next Daniel Day Lewis or Gary Oldman. Just wait and see.

Are any of these movies, besides Battleship, known outside the AS fandom? Legends of the Guardians was a widely released movie. People know who Charles Manson is.and sadly this movie will probably come out sooner than Straw Dogs. Lars Von Trier might be known to serious movie buffs, but is meaningless to the rest of the populace. Alex’s role is a small supporting one, the movie mostly revolves around K Dunst’s character and her sister. AS did not get good reviews in Puss.
I don’t understand how you people equate simple logic and proof as hatred. He’s not doing too good right now. GK was great and TB had some highlights. His IMDB is down while a Z Lister that hasn’t had a movie or roles for some time is up.
In all reality, if some of you stepped back and looked at the situation more logically you’d draw a different conclusions. JJ and other blogs are used to gauge the public’s opinions of actors/singers. Judging from the negative comments posted by logical adults the studios would not see this person as a viable commodity. There are plenty of actors and actress that are hated because of who they date and they still make movies; the same way that people like Katerine Hiegl and Jennifer A(or KB) continue to make films even though they cannot act or people do not like them. AS has gotten pretty steady work and I have never heard or read in an interview he wants to be a big star. The Guardians had one of the worst openings and box office revenues of any childlike film in a long time and how big a film, about Manson, do you think Ryans will be? Alex’s idea of success and how he wants his career to play out is different from Ryans, as well as different than what YOU want.
It is the same 20-30 people b*tching about him, saying how he sucks or he is not the same;but when he goes on promo tours, he has a high fan turn out. Yes, comments are taken into consideration but since he does not do reality; they are used more from HBO and sites dedicated to his work, not gossip sites. I do not think he is a famewh*re, JJ post walking pictures of Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto all the time; neither have the same amount of star power Alex does. This is not a news site, it is a gossip-invading-people-privacy and personal-space site. A lot of you seem not to know how paps work: the sit outside a celebrities house, eateries, neighborhood, etc. Paps follow X factor and American Idol contestants; why would they not follow someone on a hit or use-to-be show?
Kate was on the frontpage of Swedens most read newspaper yesterday. She looked so nice. I can see why Alex is so in love with her.
I’m big TB fan since Ep1 and I have to say that in Season 3 Alex’s acting was weak. He had opportunity to show off his talent and IMO he screwed up. In every scene he had with Denis O’Hare, latter blew him off the screen. Even Talbot was more convincing. The same thing happened in Swedish movie Exit where he played with Mads Mikkelsen. He was simply bland. I didn’t bother with the rest of his movies because their story lines were rather stupid. I’m not some jealous, crazy, fat, obsessed fan of Stephen Moyer who is spewing bile about Alex. I just use my common sense :)

So why IMDB exist? Why do they have a pro service? Since they get it wrong all the time, why haven’t they been shut down? My feeling is the same. He was completely convincing in Generation Kill, and on Season1 of TB, quite menacing as Eric. In Season2 still so believable. But something happened during Season3. The first episode he was still “Eric” but seemed, to me, to lose it after that. He was just phoning it in, and Dennis O’Hare’s performance only highlighted that. Not sure what happened.

Also, Chris Pine just got named top of the A list by Entertainment magazine. Zachary Quinto IS a famewhore and loves getting papped but people got tired of him and stopped posting. Chris Pine is being trajected to be the next Pitt for Hollywood. Anyways Kwanten is getting major roles in American films which Alex wants but cannot get. He has auditioned LOTS but continues to get turned down. It was a MAJOR coup that Kwanten got Manson and he just got GAP ads which more people will see than Hickey Freeman which almost no one has seen and which Alex did not even promote. He never even wears Freeman to anything to promote the brand either so it was kinda dumb that he did that. Kwanten is more sellable to mainstream and whether Alex wants to admit it he would like to be mainstream as well. He is trying with the Bosworth, tabloid thing but it is not working. Because Bosworth is washed up in America and no one gives two sh*ts what she does. Her films almost never get distribution right away. If she was top shelf the film would have a distributor BEFORE it was even filmed. Anyways, your argument made no sense and the American public is not buying him, her, or them together(power couple hahaha).
Evan Rachel Wood’s career is really taking off and the woman will rank in A list for a very long time. Kate cannot act and she just annoys people more with her famewhoring ways just like Heidi and Spencer and Lauren Conrad. That try to take attention away from people who actually deserve it for the great work they are doing.

And I will say it again and again and again…the best export right now that Sweden has to give us in terms of actors is JOEL KINNAMAN and NOOMI RAPACE. They are going to make it big here. Noomi just got Sherlock Holmes 2 role and the Millenium films are effin awesome. Joel is beautiful when he wants to be and looks hot in Snabba Cash. More importantly, he can really act. I mean his range is freaking scary amazing.

AS had to audition 4 or 5 times to get the GK part and he was not known outside of Sweden at the time. He got the part in TB just after he finished filming GK and still was not famous then. He only became famous due to the show. So I will continue to believe that the casting people in HW know what they do and give out roles based on auditions and suitability rather than popularity.
And yes, you are right, no one across the pond has probably ever heard of the Moomins, it’s pretty well known in Europe though, especially in Scandinavia and it will probably only be released there so I doubt AS took the role to become more popular. Legend of the Guardians on the other hand only reached #5 in the UK box office in its opening week and then disappeared 3 weeks later. I am just saying this for the sake of argument, not to belittle Ryan K, he is perfect as Jason, imo.

Not everything is about money and popularity (maybe in the US it is), but there are real artists out there who like to express themselves and not worry about whether they are popular or not. How many tv actors went on to become major movie stars? Not many, maybe 10 in the past 40 years. And most of them start off with supporting roles or become character actors. Also, newsflash: there is a world out there full of AS fans who don’t read gossip sites, blogs and forums, just support Alexander for his acting, I was one of them, until I was off work ill for a week once, got bored and found these sites. But the fact that I read this sh*t doesn’t say anything about me (actually posting makes it worse, lol) apart from that I am slightly insomniac and that I was bored. To those who think AS wasn’t good in Season 3, Dennis O’Hare of course stole every scene he was in, but that’s not to the detriment of Alexander, his acting is a lot more low key, and his character doesn’t require the same acting as Dennis’. Only time will tell. It seems rather obvious that dating Bosoworth ain’t doing him much good. I wonder if it’ll last in the long run though – I can’t really see her move to Sweden as he seems to want to do.
Speaking of Sweden – I really like Joel and I think he’s a great actor especially in Snabba Cash – see the original! He has quite the reputation as a ladies man back home. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out for him in Hollywood.

I wouldn’t count him out just yet. The fact that he’s not a native American English speaker has nothing to do with his success. Anyone with enough will and dedication can be proficient in any accent or language they chose. I think he did a great job on GK with the help of his language coach. Success is an individual thing. If you mean big box office success by non native English speakers……Arnold with his butchered English anyone? Not everybody equates blockbuster success as their ideal. Daniel Day Lewis has had both. But most of all he’s a great actor that’s more known for his outstanding performances in “small” movies.
Btw, Joe has his own niche but I really don’t think he will attain the success of RyK.

There are so many wonderful actors and movies from across the globe. Sophia Loren, Penelope Cruz, Xavier Bardem, Salma Hayek, Sweden’s own Ingrid Bergman, etc…there are too numerous to name. There are some that are homegrown that left for greener pastures…Mel Gibson( New Jersey), Sienna Miller, Nicole Kidman( born in Hawaii) that we think are foreigners.

Anyway, I wish that JJ would just leave the discussion of KB out of the Alex threads. As I think the majority of his fans don’t want to hear about her (let alone see her posts every week). IMO I think that Alex has more talent in his pinky then KB has had her entire career, and I wish his acting talent could be the focus not his supposed showmance/romance.

Joe Manganiello is no stranger to self promotion, but it’s now obvious so is Alex and Kate leaves both of them in the dust. If Anna and Stephen get papped as often as Kate Bosworth, then yes, they are calling the paps. They don’t, though.

When he and his family is in a magzine you will see a a whole article on him not just a 3×5 picture. Theier are many big ballers who don’t want to be botherd that have more money than these two do that can pay for the paps to be there 247. But they chose not to. By the time TB comes back on AS will be overexposed because he is contantly photographed to much. Its just like they call and say KB and I will be at the Museum today. Tommorrow we will be at Joans on The Third. The day after will be at the Beach and ect. JJ already has there schedule of were these two will be during the middle of the week. Tell me something were is People Magazine at or The Time Magazine. You are big time when you make the front covers of these books. When yiu got it going on they will seek you. You will not have to hire JJ to let everyone know that you are out on a date with each other.

I just want to say that most of these sex symbols have come and gone. Look at Luke Perry, Jason Priestly, Brad Pitt, and the cast of that popular tv show 9021Beverly Hills. These men all used to be considered sex symbols in there younger day. At least these men started of in their twenties being sex symbols. AS is already 35 he does not have long to go. When the show is over he”ll be a thing of the past. Their is a difference between Rob Patterson and AS. There difference is more teenagers attracted to ROB than AS. If ROB keep hiself clean he will go places and you don’t hear of him drugging, drinking, and carousing with women in a way that he could draw attention to himself he will be find. A bad boy attitude will get you know where. All you will get is low budget movies. You don’t see pictures of him and Kristen papped every moment of the day, hour or second. They are for more famous that KB and AS. Why that sbecause they don’t call JJ and give them their out on the town schedule.

Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgard engaged??? Have absolutely no idea, and that would be their business should it be true (unlikely). I am guessing he is much wiser than that. He has to understand how important it is to fine tune the art of successfully boosting a budding career rather than potentially burying it. If he doesn’t, he needs to learn. There is a fine line between the two and right now he has plateaued. He is a fine actor, but let’s face it, he’s not yet a leading man, and at age 34 (at least by Hollywood standards), you have to have either made a huge name for yourself by starring in blockbuster films, and/or have an Oscar (or two) to remind you how hot you actually are, and last but not least, are drop dead gorgeous. Well Alex certainly falls into this category (at least as far as I’m concerned), but there are just too many male actors in Hollywood who meet most, if not all of these criteria. Many of them also being much younger. Either ASkars and/or his public relations crew appear to be playing what may turn out to be a very risky game. He needs to return to his laid back, low key style. This is how he used to present himself in interviews and oftentimes in public (depending on the company he kept and is possibly currently keeping….need I say more). This is what I believe is driving his fans to suddenly jump ship. ASkars needs to be true to himself. It’s humbling—and people appreciate and relate to this. They would respect him for this. And if this is who he truly is, why continue to play games. I for one still find him outwardly attractive and extremely sexy. But I think the way he treats Bosworth in public (whether she’s his significant other, bedbuddy, whatever), is absolutely disgusting and totally lacking in respect. I don’t feel one way or the other about Bosworth…..watched one of her movies when I was younger (win a date with Tad Hamilton…..not impressed). But this is not about her or whoever else may be in her shoes. Alex needs to clean up his act. Bad press is not always better than no press. Don’t be fooled by all these bizarre pics and posts of “Alex and Kate” out on the town. These pics are not normal and are anything but positive. I am surprised his father has not advised him. And if he has, even more surprised that Alex isn’t listening. Wise up dude because you are rapidly becoming yesterday’s news. What a shame.

Hey number 10 and 21 I agree with you all the way. Think about it when TB comes back on you won’t his character because we have been seeing AS to much already and people will not be excited about his role on TB. They will be looking at the other new folks. To tell you the truth he has already over done it with me. I’m looking to see what Sookie, Bill, Jason, and Alcide going to do. That’s why he didn’t make the Sexiest Man List. People are finally seeing that he is not all that and a bag of chips honey. I’ve seen sexy and it aint AS. Iv’e seen better. After season one he lost his looks and appeal.

I’ve read three of your post, over a two week span, and each post sounds more desperate and pathetic than the previous one. Okay, got it, you dont like AS and KB, he’s at best overaged and average, his role on TB has been downgraded to secondard….all this because who he chooses to date. Please explain, he’s an actor portraying a character, what he does and his personal life has no bearing on what he brings to the show. If he wasnt daing KB would he still be revelant in your eyes? There are many other actors who are over exposed besides these two. You can’t get mad at someone for their thoughts. You have some good actors that are not sexy and you have some bad ones who are still ot sexy. Does that mean that I’m a hater no. What is does mean is that you can’t stand the truth about these two people. Sometimes people can tell when things are rigged and phony. You can’t pull the wool over everbody’s eye. I didn’t care for KB even when she wasn’t with AS. I don’t hate nobody because it is wrong to hate. Now you can dislike a person acting that does not mean you hate them as a person. Maybe you misunderstood my comments. I do not imply that your a “hater” but all of your comments are raught with some sort of bizzare disdain. You have every right to your opinion, however contrite they are, but please dont misunderstand a point of view that is contray to yours. I am merely asking you to make the distinction between a man and the character he plays, you dislike his character because of the choices he makes in his personal life. That’s my question to you, I’m really not interested in anything besides what he brings to the show and how it enriches the story. His growing, or diminishing, popularity seems to be based on very shallow reason, which have very little to do with his actual skill.
