James Franco Covers 'GQ' December 2010

James Franco is red hot on the December 2010 cover of GQ Magazine, on stands everywhere November 23rd.

The 32-year-old actor is crowned Leading Man while the other Men of the Year covers include Drake (Breakout Star), Jeff Bridges (Icon), and Stephen Colbert (Patriot). Scarlett Johansson also has her own cover as Babe of the Year.

In the M.O.T.Y. issue, James talks about taking a class with Michael Warner, one of the founders of queer theory. “Basically it’s a wide-reaching approach to whatever—literature, life, politics. It is on the most basic level an anti-normative approach to all of these subjects,” James explains. “One approach to things might be to classify
everything as ‘This is straight, this is gay; this is Republican, this is Democrat,’ whatever. The queer approach is to complicate all of that and see the way all of these different things are intermingled and connected.”

WHAT’S YOUR TAKE on the queer theory? Believe in it?

FYI: Stephen is wearing a suit by Calvin Klein Collection.

Not liking that cover, but it is an improvement over the Esquire cover.

It is also nice that James is becoming more open-minded.

James, I love you!

Scarlett is by far the most overrated actress in terms of hotness there is. Babe of the year? Please, I’ve seen hotter babes walking to my classes.

I love james franco but hate this cover. Why are they trying to make him look like zac efron! His eyes have never been so light in a picture! And the crumpled redorange t-shirt. Please! Put the handsome man in a handsome suit for a cover–or at least a cool shirt and tight jeans. What were they thinking. Awful!

Hmm. I wonder why didn’t they put in a suit and tie like the rest of them?

why do they always insist on close-ups of Drake’s basset hound face? he’s f-cking ugly!

OOOMMGGGG!!! LUV HIM 2 DEATH!! JAMES YOUVE ALWAYS BEEN MAN OF DA YEAR IN MY BOOK!!! GQ U FINALY DID RITE!! Although i rather have him smilin wit his scruffy beard but hey IM NOT COMPLAININ!!

I love James Franco.. but I’m not liking this cover. Why not just a normal pose. this looks kinda weird..

Call me a bum but, wouldnt it have been nice if they called Scarlett “Woman of the Year” instead of babe? wtf? Does she look like a 19 year old bimbo!? I think not…

Sometimes I used to envy this man he’s really hot, good-looking, has a perfect body and no wonder would be fantasize by many ladies out there.

How is Scarlett Johansson “babe of the year” Yeah, she’s cute but she wasnt in anything this year, except for a small part in Iron Man 2. Its like GQ has favourites that they recycle all the time! What about AnnaLynne McCord, Katy Perry or Sofia Vergara! All beautiful women who did something this year!

photoshop much ?
He doesn’t need that much. Ha got a natural beauty.

Yes!

I really, really like James Franco. It’s cool that a big hollywood star is also a bit of a thinker. A good example for the kids.

i love james so much!! can’t wait to get this magazine!!

James is the man! I’m pretty sure he will be this year’s sexiest man alive!

James, is so freaking handsome.
