OlderJessica Simpson Reveals How Eric Johnson Proposed
Jessica Simpson is sharing details of how her fiance Eric Johnson popped the big question!
“I absolutely had no idea. He had talked to my mom and dad and my sister [Ashlee] three weeks before he asked me. He had the ring in his shoe at my house somewhere,” she says on The Morning Mash Up radio show, in an interview airing Thursday, December 2.
“I was like, why hide it in a shoe, but it worked. He got down on his knee and I had to sit down on it because I was so shocked,” she says.
Jess, 30, adds that it happened while she was watching Parenthood. “I was short of breath. It was definitely one of those moments where I’ve never felt that way before, ever … We met in my house it was amazing that he proposed to me in my house.”
“I can’t believe all the Simpsons kept a secret,” says Jess.

Well she may be right about how long he has been planning: he’s been planning since he met her on the fastest way to her cash and lucked out because Nick Lachey proposed to Vanessa, giving Eric the opportunity to “give in” to the pressure from her family. Nice move Eric!

Can’t Jessica, Lindsay, Paris and all the Kardashians just disappear?? We’re all full of hearing about their wasted lifestyles. Not a one of them puts any of that money to good use. For those of us working to keep a roof over our head–we don’t want to hear anymore.

First of all, I like Jessica Simpson, especially when she was married to Nick. Nick has moved on, and Vanessa is wonderful, and I am glad to see Jessica has moved on also. If all of this is real.
But, apparently she has lied.
She said she “has never felt this way before, ever” when Eric proposed to her.
I remember her saying those exact words when she described how Nick proposed to her.
Also, how can someone who has not job afford a $100,000.00 ring,?
I personally think Jessica purchased it herself.
But on a serious note: If this IS FOR REAl, I hope that her father stays out of this marriage. I personally think Nick and Jessica would still be married if he had not butted in on their marriage.

He is more in the vein of John Mayer, but not like John Mayer because John Maye has tens of millions of dollars on his face and that makes him attractive.plus,John has a great career, works hard,and makes great music.

This fluffy story is to counter the gossip that is all over the internet – that she has been putting the pressure on him to get married for months and she bought the ring herself. Word is she’s trying to get a ring on him as fast as possible so she beats Nick to the altar. Moved on? I don’t think so. Pathetic, more like it.
I can’t think of a more unromantic way to propose! He had her hit the pause button during “Parenthood”?? Huh?! Couldn’t he have at least taken her to a swanky restaurant in Beverly Hills to pop the question? I don’t know what she sees in this guy … he seems like such a bore. This whole relationship seems incredibly forced.
If this was a real relationship that would go down as the worst proposal in history. Of course we all know the whole fake thing is timed to get in her the tabloids while her crappy record is out. Pathetic woman, pathetic family.
