OlderWillow Smith's AMAs Stylist Revealed -- Exclusive
Willow Smith made fashion waves at the 2010 American Music Awards on Sunday (November 21) for boldly stepping out in an unforgettable ensemble, pairing a custom-made gray romper with a stand-out yellow buckled arm piece.
JustJared.com can confirm that Brea Stinson, aka Bstar, was the stylist/designer responsible for the look.
Unfortunately, fashionistas everywhere quickly recognized the piece as a knock-off of a sheath by Mother of London from designer Mildred Von Hildegard.
The 10-year-old “Whip My Hair” singer normally works with designer duo Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi, so media outlets quickly threw the pair under the bus for the forgery.
Mariel confirmed via Twitter that her team didn’t create the look: “Dear Bloggers, check your facts before you post my name… [Rob and I] only dressed Rihanna last night.”
“I hope this can be resolved,” Mildred tells Just Jared. “By no measure do I harbor any bad feelings toward the Smiths. And I regret if any of this has negatively impacted their image. I wish them the best.”

It’s not just that it’s a knockoff from this designer…it’s a knockoff of a design that is usually styled with nothing underneath for a suggestively S&M feel. Other media outlets are trying to tie this little girl to some sex scandal or something. I think it is unfortunate that she is caught up in it. But welcome to fame…
Fifty bucks says this is cover-up to clear the name of the Smiths’ usual stylist. If Brea Stinson had anything to do with this, I bet it was on Haenn’s supervision. How Stinson is probably being paid off to take the heat.
