Reese Witherspoon slips into a Burberry Prorsum dress on the cover of Glamour magazine’s January 2011 issue, on newsstands Tuesday (December 7)!
Here’s what the 34-year-old actress, who finished her look with a Neil Lane bracelet, Shery Shabani for Fragments necklace, and Fogal fishnets, had to share:
On how getting older makes her feel sexier: “I think as a woman, you get older, you feel more confident in your sexuality. You’re not as intimidated by it, not as embarrassed by it. Sexuality and femininity is an accumulation of age and wisdom and comfort in your own skin. I feel better – so much better now than I ever did in my twenties. I am calmer; I know who I am. And as a result, I feel much sexier.”
On women in Hollywood: “There’s always going to be somebody younger or sexier. That’s why I like to say, and it’s become my famous line, ‘Funny doesn’t sag.’”
On having more kids: “I would love to have more kids. Kids are the best part of my day. I don’t wake up to make movies. I wake up to hang out with my family.”
On making romantic comedies: “I love romantic comedies. I watch them all the time. I love all my fellow female romantic comedy queens, like Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Garner and Katie Heigl. I also think that the questions romantic comedies ask about men and women are universal.”

I think Reece and her management are making a big mistake to do romcom after romcom and to position herself as only that. Becase at 35, her expiry date for romcoms has pretty much started. Odd she admires Jennifer A. when Jennifer has not had a hit romcom in ages and has actually had bomb after bomb when it comes to romcoms. Jennifer is discovering she is now pigeonholed into 1 type of role and now at 42 too old to play in cutesy romcoms, but her range is limiting. Reece should not follow her lead. Reece was good in edgy Election and as June Cash, she should be looking for edgier/different material now and not be inspired by Jennifer, Katherine and Jennifer G. all who are also experiencing romcom bombs and can’t seem to make a hit movie to save their lives.
Why does every actress insist on being sexy and talking about being sexy???!!!! Not everyone has sex appeal. There is NOTHING sexy about Reece W., at all. There never was and sexy is not what most think about when thinking about her or when casting her in a role. So why is she playing up this angle now. She is cute, she is sweet looking, but there is not an ounce of sexy in her at all and she should not play up that angle in photo shoots like this or in movies. She needs to realise she does not have the sexy gene at all and accept that. Nothing wrong with accepting that, not everyone is all things and she is not sexy.
bEING ONE DIMENSIONAL must be fun for boring ACTORS….WHAT a great group to be part of….I am yet to see a good ROMANTIC comedy movie with any of the 2 WOMEN she mentioned in it…

dear, that’s called photoshopping, has almost nothing to do with the glorious red heels. Pretty sure most of us would get great bum and tights with the right amount of retouching!
Aniston & Garner…queens of the romantic comedy?…Is she kidding? What about Sandra Bullock or Julia Roberts? Hell, I’d even name Cameron Diaz before Aniston or Garner. She loses major points on that one.
