Alicia Keys: Back From Digital Grave!

Stars participating in the Digital Death Campaign have been resurrected!

Celebs including Ryan Seacrest, Alicia Keys, Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, and Lady Gaga will now return to their online lives after the intended goal of $1 million was raised for the Keep a Child Alive organization.

“From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of the fans, friends and artists who stood together for this cause and saved real lives,” Alicia said Monday. “I am humbled by the outpour of support from everyone.”

Half a million dollars was raised in less than one week since the campaign launched, with an additional $500,000 donated from billionaire Stewart Rahr.

“So stoked to be back on twitter! Special shout out to Stewie Rah Rah for his generous donation,” Ryan said in one of his first tweets since giving up the social networking site last Wednesday.

This was such an unclassy way to raise money ! It felt like blackmailing! And we are in recession, these are hard times for everyone who doesn’t earn a million each week. Since when the rich and famous ask average and ‘poor’ persons for money ? If they want so bad to save a life, they could have made a donation, since they’re so interested in this foundation !
Anyways, I’m disappointed that it lasted only few days, we were given a nice break !

Boooo dumbest campaign EVER! ok, second dumbest campaign next to Vote or Die. LOLZ!!!!

Bloody Stewart Rahr we were enjoying the celebs away from twitter : (

# 6

oh thank god, what would like be without their inane tweets!

They couldn’t raise 1 million with fans to get them out so they had to get the money themselves. I know they’re not fooling me or hopefully anybody else with that.

@toni: I agree it seems like they were not raising enough money with that stupid campaign and Stewart Rarh or whatever he’s called had to pay for it. Frankly, I am utterly disgusted by this “charity”. What a poor way to ask for money. I have to be grossed out by any celebrity who participated. And that’s a shame because I used to like Elijah Wood.!

God, so that means they’re back on their worshipped dumb Twitter! Lord have mercy on me…

I would really like to know how much the photoshoot and publicity for the campaign cost them. It would have been much better if those celebs put their own money together to raise $1 million. I would have been impressed if they stepped up to the plate themselves.

I agree with you all. The campaign was weird at best and classless at worst. Glad the money was raised. Still, I’m sure if they all came together themselves they could have raised the money without the public. Actually come to think of it, if celebs are gonna ask us for $$$ they should have to donate a few grand themselves. Especially fame*w*h*o*r*e*s like the Kardashians!

Have a quick at Ms. Dignified/Classy Ms. Kardashian:

Once again these comments show the dumbing down of America. You people are ignorant and twisted. I hope that you do not have kids and never do because this is the ignorance, lack of innovation and lack of commpassion that you would pass on to them. Crying shame you are so blinded by ignorance, hate and jealousy that your minds are closed to logic. SMDH!!

@Kelly: Who went out there and made a sex tape to break into holloywood and is making money off of it.? Now that is what you “call dumbing down of America”.

@Kelly: Right. If this is what you call “innovative” and logical, then I hope that my kids don’t grow up in your kind of world. Now I’m shaking my damn head.

They could have each written a 2 million dollar check at minimum, then they would have raised MORE money for AIDS, I still don’t think much of this, especially the advertising for it. I didn’t miss any of them did you?

Hahaha, this was one of the worst fun-raising campaigns ever. Kim, stay dead. Please?!

Whoa, funD-raising!

very ill-concieved. holding your fans hostage until they donate to charity. just beyond selfabsorbed even if it worked.

Someone bailed them out after the campaign flopped!!
