Natalie Portman Covers 'Vogue' January 2011
Natalie Portman graces the cover of Vogue‘s January 2011 issue wearing a J. Mendel hand pleated silk chiffon dress.
The magazine recently looked inside the training that the 29-year-old actress went through to prepare for her role in Black Swan.
To lengthen and strengthen her body, Natalie worked eight hours a day, six days a week with Mary Helen Bowers, a former dancer in the New York City ballet.
Mary believes that “you can really transform any body type into one looking like a ballerina: long, lean, sculpted, and strong, but still very elegant.”
Natalie has already been winning awards for her role in the movie. She received the Best Actress award from both the New York and Boston Film Critics Societies!

I LOVE HER….HOPE SHE WINS AN ASCAR
She’s such an elegant woman.
Idunno about the cover though, Vogue should’ve picked a better picture of her….probably my least cover of her on a magazine…
Just one more starlet with a surgically chiseled schnozz and fake lips. Are any of them natural any more?
WTF is up with her hand? It looks paralyzed, or fake! Really weird picture for the cover of a magazine, especially Vogue.
@meh: First she doesn’t have fake lips and second she’s one of the most natural looking actresses in Hollywood. Why are you such a hater?
meh: you’re retarded, she’s all natural.
@Corbin
So you don’t deny the nose job? I think Natalie admitted in a magazine interview that she wished she never had her nose done.
It has nothing to do with hate. It’s just the truth. Women and impressionable young girls are being sold these images of women who are not real, who paid a lot of money to look the way they do, and they compare themselves to these “perfect” faces and bodies, and it makes them feel not good enough. It’s really sad. It’s also sad that apparently you have to fix your face to get an acting job in Hollywood. Even if you were pretty to begin with.
Ilove her! she’s so beautiful & talnted.
Hey, Chris X, Google it and you’ll find out about what she did to her face, complete with before and afters. It’s undeniable. Calling someone “retarded” is really douchey.
@meh: Watch the movie “The Professional” and you’ll see Natalie Portman has the same exact features as she has now and she was 13.
BEAUTIFUL cover shot. Very worthy of Vogue.

I was riveted by her performance.
