Sandra Bullock takes the cover of People‘s Year-End issue and is crowned 2010′s Woman of the Year!
“Bad things happen, but she celebrates the good ones. And [her son] Louis is a wonderful celebration of good things,” a source told the magazine.
The 46-year-old actress’s whirlwind year included an Oscar win for The Blind Side, divorcing Jesse James, and finalizing the adoption of Louis.
People also named the year’s other intriguing figure, including Bret Michaels (the Ultimate Survivor), Kim Kardashian (the Entrepreneur), Kate Middleton and Prince William (the Royal Couple), and Elin Nordegren (the Class Act).

ITAWY… I like Sandra but seriously this whole thing with her has gotten out of hand. He husband cheated and she didn’t flip out.

Glen: I agree with you too. I like Sandra a lot but to me Elizabeth Edwards was a real hero. There are other women in Entertainment too who dealt with Cancer or major challenges – I would rather see them as Woman of the Year but I do like Sandra. She seems nice. She is just not like a Woman of the Year to me that’s all :(

Good choice. DIgnity and grace should always be rewarded. Maybe Elizabeth Edwards and Sandra should share the cover. And toss Elin in there for good measure!

Elizabeth Edwards may she rest in peace, LIED to the entire country while her husband campaigned for president as the good family man he was a cheating snake. Women of the Year hardly, Sandra Bullock fall into the same category.

This is horrific. Does people magazine mean to dismiss all the real women who have contributed to science and industry as worthless? Meanwhile they promote this woman who went through a divorce and adopted a black baby as being a person to look up to. How low will our society go with women like this as role models? I mean the well-fare recipients in the projects are as noble as her.
