How old is she now? All her songs sound like they could have been on her first album.

Great vocals…At first I thought that I was going to hate it but…I don’t. i just hate the lyrics? But I like the vocals…

When is this b!tch going to:

a) grow up and take those childish pink highlights out?
b) stop making terrible music?

all i have to say about this song and Avril is:
WHAT THE HELL!?
Grow up already, geeez.

Apparently the lot of you missed her personal statement about the album, which she has fought with her label over apparently for some time now. “What The Hell” seems to be one of the few upbeat/poppy tracks on what is apparently an otherwise very stripped down album:

“My first single off this record is called: “What The Hell”. This song is the least personal song to me off this album. It’s a fun and funny anthem. It has a broad message about personal freedom. It is the most pop track on the record.”

For what it is as an obligatory upbeat lead single, I think I’ll like it.

Avril as much as warned her fans that this single is what RCA demanded in order to finally release her album. It’s not representative of the album but does qualify as a radio friendly tune that will probably chart well and keep RCA’s accountants happy.
Having said that,it’s as catchy as anything else out there and her vocals are right up front and center, where you’ll find them on any Avril song.

will this song can be the least personal song off this album
but with a little bit of growing up she’s 26 after all not 14
the world does not need another Ke$ha

not bad i like it

Shes still stuck in her “Complicated” days only shes more girly now. This song is good/catchy but it only suits young stars like Demi, Selena, Miley etc. not a woman who is nearing 30 yrs old (remember shes 26!!!) Hopefully the rest of her music isnt all like this cos she doesnt seem to have matured musically – as well as in her style.

Whether the song is “personal” or not is irrelevant. It’s the one people will hear on the radio or watch on MTV. And I’m not sure even today’s 13 year olds care a lick about Avril Lavigne, as proven by the fact she had to “fight” with her label so that they’d let her release her album (and they forced her to have a “radio-friendly” track as lead single). But don’t worry, she’ll be fine. Given her track record, I’m sure she’ll sell about 800,000 copies and come back in 4 years with a new album which she’ll promote by being a 30 year old divorcĂ©e dressed like a 12 year old who spends all her money on Claire’s apparel. The thing with today’s celebrities is they’re like herpes. They never fade away, no matter how unsuccessful or irrelevant they become.

Looking forward to hearing her other songs on the album since she herself also doesn’t seem to care for this one, I don’t know why her label is trying to make her do this pop crap. Her first 2 cds were much better then anything after them. She’s talented her label should back off and let her make some real music

God she’s OLDER than I and when I used to listen to her I thought she was genuine. Now though she’s become the very thing she used to rant about never becoming in her first album interviews. SHE BIT THE DUST and I was heart broken; because she literally had somthing unique. Now – though I wanted to giver her the BOTD – this song couldnt have come at a worse time. All her fans doubt her and this is how she proves them wrong? WHAT THE HELL?! Sadness.

Seriously, she was a cute tomboy; what the hell happened to her?

She has the most awesome FAKE smile ever!
Seriously, Avril is completely full of sh*t.
But in a very pretty cool way.
B*tch.

Is she like 30 or something?

Over Rated!

ucef jager @ 12/17/2010 at 9:05 pm

this song will be a hit for sure !

Avril is just another flakey, spooiled kid who wanted to be princess for a day so she married, collected all her gifts and divorced the guy when the fairy tale was over. Um, can I have the gift back?

I just don’t get it with these rock stars … When the hell is Steve Tyler going to grow up? When is Mick Jagger going to grow up? They dress so childishly and jump around on stage like fools.

(That was sarcasm for those of you who can’t read between the lines.)

STOP THE H8

i love this song! if you dont like avril why ru here? get a life seriously, no one cares if you think she is childish, no one cares if you think she needs to get rid of pink highlight. your opinion is unwanted and hatred gets you nowhere!
