Chris Brown: I'm Done With Domestic Violence Class

Chris Brown has completed a court-ordered 52-week domestic violence course and he’s proudly showing off the certificate.

“I’m done with class,” the 21-year-old singer tweeted on Monday (December 20), along with a photo of the signed certificate of completion.

Last year, Chris pleaded guilty to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in February 2009.

As part of the plea deal, he received five years probation and 180 days of community service.

Hitting Rihanna? Ha, you mean beating the **** out of her..

You don’t need a piece of paper to say you don’t hit women. Just don’t hit women.

I really don’t know what to think about Chris Brown.
I don’t know if the public must think it was a one time awful accident and
    give him a second chance.
Anyway, I suppose he made enough money for the short time he had a
clean image. I don’t think he will be able to get that image back because
Rihanna is one of the most popular singers in the world and has a huge
    fan base.
But 21 years old is too young to be condemned forever.

Wow, a certificate of completion. Well, I’m convinced….

I believe he took this seriously and has taken responsibility for something he did that he acknowledges was wrong. Something that people of his own father’s generation could do and did with impunity. I think he is a good man. Ironically, one of the few in his line of work. IMO.

I am neither Chris Brown nor Rihanna fan…I am too old for their “music”, anyway…. I will give him a second chance. He is young and had made a terrible mistake…It looked like he took responsibility and try to better himself. He is still growing up as a man and figure out his life as he has a history of violence in his family, if I am not mistaken. There is no excuse for what he did, but it’s like not giving an former addict who turned his life around a second chance. Life is not black and white, people! Personally I think their relation was toxic and it brought the worst in him.

He was forced to take that class.

I can’t stand his personality- even if he resists his urge to beat the cr*p out of another girl- he’ll always be an obnoxious jerk.

Since when did you have to have a clean image to be a singer? Do you know how many dope dealers and ex gangbangers are played on your radio every day? Smh he will be fine all he has to do is keep doing what he is doing now

Well the judge said really good things about him, and judges see cases like these so often. I’ll refrain from judging, I threw a couple of punches back in the day, though not at a woman.

Didn’t his PR people tell him to stop reminding people about what he did? Why would he want to bring this all back into people’s memory?

    @Honestly: I agree..

He’s young enough to learn. He can change. He is not set in his ways. He’s made the effort to change.

    Good for him.

    Partyharty Says:

He’s disgusting. I remember after he beat the crap out of her, he was out jet-skiing and living it up like nothing had happened. The only remorse he felt was when he got his hand slapped for it and his career took a hit. The slimebag should have been locked up!

    Keesha Says:

I wish him the best. To be honest, if you don’t like him, why are you even checking for him? Why are you on here commenting about how he’ll still be a jerk? I really don’t get that.

Charlie Sheen has done far worse and he’s the highest paid actor on television just sayin’. Even Mark Wahlberg blinded a man when he was younger and people have moved past that. I wish him the best……

the guy has been congratulated by his judge for following the rules and serving his punishment. he is taking responsibility, and this is a positive thing…it just loses a bit of legitimacy and seems a tad childish to “tweet” it.
