Ryan Phillippe Is 'Isolated' -- VIDEO

Ryan Phillippe narrated and executive-produced the upcoming film Isolated.

The documentary films five world class surfers travel to New Guinea in search of undiscovered waves, but end up discovering so much more.

“As much as I love surfing, it’s difficult to get an audience outside the hardcore fanatics,” Ryan told Rolling Stone. “But this concept is so fascinating. The biggest draw will be seeing people surfing in a part of the world that’s never been seen before.”

Isolated is directed by Justin LePera.

This film sounds really interesting especially the travel aspect although I’m sure the surfing is awesome.

Why is he dressed like a Ghetto Brad Pitt?!

Fail. Next time don’t wear an Old Navy-like scarf with a suit. Fabric quality does matter.

I need a holiday surfs up. It reminds me a little of Leonardo DiCaprio – The Beach movie.

Cant wait.

Rolling Stone did a whole piece last year about this film. It sounds very interesting and we can see from the trailer how beautiful it is.

@offtheproperty: why do you read these blogs if you don’t care?

Finally something I could actually stand to see Ryan Phillipe in. Thank God he’s not acting in it. Looks so beautifully shot and I am not even interested in surfing, but I can’t wait to see this movie. Looks really touching and the soothing sounds of RP’s voice as narrator doesn’t hurt either. ; )

Good for him.

I think it’s kind of silly that they say ‘never been seen’ half of the borders at schools in Queensland live there, and they’re not just islanders either. Lot’s of Australians/Americans etc have lived/live in that country just in general, mostly because of the mining industry. That being said it looks like an awesome film, can’t wait to see it :-)

@Jeff: Jeff, there’s a lot of area in Papua New Guinea that is neglected and remote. My own parents were stationed there during WWII. But the film shows what is happening to groups of its people. Just wait to see the film. http://plopculture.blogspot.com/2009/07/isolated-in-rolling-stone.html

Looks awesome. There are better pictures of Ryan though. He’s more beautiful then that.
