Tracy Morgan 'Doing Well' After Kidney Transplant

Tracy Morgan is recovering from a kidney transplant and will miss at least two episodes of 30 Rock, according to EW.

“Tracy is doing well and taking some much needed time to recover after the surgery. He is looking forward to going back to work after the holidays,” said a rep for the 42-year-old comedian.

Tracy underwent the surgery around December 10 and will be out two or three episodes of the NBC comedy.

Executive producer Tina Fey and the writing team plan to address his absence “by saying he has some sort of a meltdown because of a good thing that’s happened to him,” EW reports.

Earlier this year, Tracy‘s 30 Rock co-star Grizz Chapman also had a kidney transplant.

Here’s to hoping Tracy has a speedy recovery!

I’m glad for him and everything but no matter how much they deny it, it seems like celebrities get bumped up the transplant list.

I would like to know how long he was on the list for. My 24 year old boyfriend has been waiting 3 years for a kidney. Tell me how a celeb who has diabetes gets a kidney before a young man who has his whole life ahead of him and who is otherwise healthy. Whos the one that decides that a celebs life is worth more then somone else!
