Gwyneth Paltrow: 'Me and Tennessee' with Tim McGraw!

Check out this video of Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw‘s “Me and Tennessee” from their upcoming film, Country Strong!

The song was written by Gwyneth‘s husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin!

“It’s about a couple who are maybe irreparably damaged,” Gwyneth explained. “But then the chorus is, ‘Then that old song comes on, together we’re singing, forever we’re singing, that old country song.’ So it’s about country music bringing people back together when they’re having a difficult time in life.”

Country Strong hits theaters everywhere on January 7!

Ugh…Chris Martin should stick to writing lame pop songs, without having to resort to writing lame country songs.

Too bad Faith wasn’t singing this with Tim. I like it when they sing together. More chemistry and Faith has got a great voice.

I’ll be the first to admit that I am neither a country music or Gwyneth Paltrow fan, however, there have been songs I have heard off the soundtrack on the website that I haven’t minded and didn’t think were too bad. This, however, is a dreadful song and the music video is just painful to watch as it makes the movie look really cheesy. I think there is an interesting story there particularly with the whole love quadrangle going on but after seeing SO many video of the film, the movie is starting to look really bad. I think Garrett and Leighton will be the only interesting part of the movie.

Hayes Carll wrote a few for the movie “Hard out Here” is one. His songs are real country, and the only un-insulting addition to the film…In my opinion..I’m glad for him, he has played small bars for awhile and is awsome!

I thought G sounded amazing, her voice takes the song to the higher level and sets it apart from same-old male voice country ballad. her image and dancing doesn’t quite work though she is way too pristine and well kept looking for the style of the music. love the tune though.
