He was an amazing actor period… regardless if he was a character actor or not.
Seems the good actors die young and never get to be the stars they should be in our world, while other less devoted untalented actors get all the glory and fame.
RIP Pete.

I grew up with so many films he was in , he was always a joy to watch and brought so much to his characters.
He even made Dragonheart watchable…. as a loveable funny monk..

Tears in my eyes over his death. Saw him for the first time as the terrifying Sergeant Hakeswill in Sharpes Company and later on I tried to see all movies he played in. I was totally intrigued by him. May he rest in peace and my blessings go to his family. This must be a huge loss for them.

oh, no. May his soul R.I.P

Great actor, unique face.
It’s a real shame he didn’t win any Oscar.

I am a little shocked by this, great actor, unique presence on screen, always interesting, RIP.

I liked this guy. He was super in “The Usual Suspects.” Yes, he didn’t win any awards, but he was always a working actor, which is more than you can say for many in Hollywood today. He will certainly be missed.
