OlderGwyneth Paltrow Covers 'Good Housekeeping' February 2011
Gwyneth Paltrow is all smiles on the cover of Good Housekeeping magazine’s February 2011 issue.
Here’s what the 38-year-old Country Strong actress had to share:
On why she’s seldom photographed with husband Chris Martin: “If I’m looking grumpy in public or if Chris and I leave a restaurant separately, it’s only because we don’t want to encourage photographers.”
On Chris: “I can depend on him. He makes me laugh. He’s really appreciative of me. You know, he makes me feel special.”
On fighting post-partum depression after son Moses‘ birth: “I felt like a zombie. I couldn’t access my heart. I couldn’t access my emotions. I couldn’t connect. It was terrible, it was the exact opposite of what had happened when Apple was born. With her, I was on cloud nine. I couldn’t believe it wasn’t the same. I just thought it meant I was a terrible mother and a terrible person.”
On learning to play guitar for Country Strong: “It was so much fun to pick up a new skill. I can be a perfectionist, so I really practiced. And between Chris’s help and the director needing me to be prepared, I was totally ready when the time came.”

C’mon, NEVER EVER any pics of her and Chris Martin together, not even of them trying to dodge the paps? Find that hard to believe. I think they have open marriage or at least he is open to do what he wants, go on tour forever and not spend any time with his family. Never even see a pic of the guy with his kids, odd. They are not a happy couple, more like it’s convenient for their images.
So much respect that she and Chris avoid the paps entirely, goes to show how can oyu CAN do this, even if you are an A-list movie star, and huge rock star!
But woah she is promoting this movie big time, she is everywhere!

@anoano: I don’t think they spend much time together. Easy to avoid the paps when you’re apart. Either that or Gwynnie isn’t the pap magnet she thinks she is.

No way that Chris Martin and GP are married in the true sense of the word. To never see them together at all not normal as even the odd pic would turn up. He never seems to be around and never seen spending time with their kids. I sense something fishy here.

@whatever: She isn’t. When she came back to the States to film the Iron Man sequel, she enrolled her kids in Violet Affleck’s school. Initially, we started seeing weekly school pap pics of her along with the ones of Garner/Violet. When Garner left town to join her husband in Boston, the Paltrow pics dried up. She wasn’t enough of a draw for them to stick around and they followed Garner to Boston. She doesn’t sell tabloids like Garner and Holmes so the pap interest isn’t as strong.
