    I was about to say exactly the same thing ! This is so RI-DI-CU-LOUS ! The film already exists since 1992 !

    Ok Hollywood, pay me, I have an idea : it’s about a big boat who goes under waters, and stop a love story between a red head woman and a blond cute boy who dies at the end…

    Send me the money the way you want, an your price will be mine, I’m an easy person….

    MllF: lol!!!!! Ok, Hollywood pay me for this – it’s a black and white, 1940′s Nazi Germany and a man who saves thousands. I think the word list would go well in the title! I mean really. Hollywood used to let 40 years go by before rehashing but now they are rehashing things from like 10 years ago. Soon there will be a remake of The Matrix with Justin Beiber as Keanu Reeves! No wonder Hollywood films are so bad, the execs are lazy!

    Oh that movie reminds me something ! Sure Spielberg would never direct a black an white movie…;)

    Yeah you’re so right ! Things are getting ridiculous actually, and same thing for the music.

    I’m living in France and even if I’m crazy in love with american tv show (The Soprano, Six Feet, Weeds, True Blood etc..) the movies are getting reaaaaallyyyyy baaaaad !

    European movies are waaaay better. And actually, many people don’t know that a lot of american movies are europeans or french remakes…an ofently, those remakes are bad too…

    God knows money don’t do everything !

    MlleF Says:

    I forgot to answer about Bieber….that would be suuuuch an insult to Matrix and my (love) Keanu Reeves.

    I heard that he almost died on CSI set…ok guys but why did you not finish the work ?! lol

    Jay Agudelo Says:

    DO PEOPLE NOT REALIZE like 50% of the movies made today are remakes? seriously get over it its not gonna stop now

  15. 15
    Ms Barleo Gaga Pitt Fan Says:

    I hope they never remake the classics like West Side Story, My Fair Lady or Sound of Music. Leave the classics alone. There is a remake of Mildred Pierce but most people don’t know, that was a great film with Joan Crawford. Just leave those films alone. I love France, btw! I think the Europeans are a little bolder in their choice of material. Also look at Tarantino, he basically rips off every Asian action flick. There was a time when Hollywood was a place where ideas were fresh and new. What happened?

    @Jay Agudelo:

    Get over it ? So you’re happy living in a fake and a second rate world ?

    You must love Katy Perry’s music ?!

    I’d rather give my money to good movies, and good music. I prefer die than go see that movie and no child or teenager in my family is allowed to prononcer the words “justin bieber”.

    Ann Says:

    True Grit is a remake and no one complained about it. Granted it’s a better movie but still…it was a remake lol

    @Ms Barleo Gaga Pitt Fan:

    In France we have an slang sentence, I think that people don’t have enough “hard choices”.

    It means that they have to be more “aware” of what is happening actually, but too of what happen before, or in another countries, for cinema for example.

    You have to try many kind of movies to have a culture.
    This is true, Tarantino takes a lot to asian cinema.

    Me I love Almodovar (Spain), and in France we have Jacques Audiard who’s such a great director, the last movie is called “le prophete”.

    But he’s not the only one, and once you have taste that kind of high quality, you can’t be able to see more than 5 minutes of hollywood’s sh.i.t, like all those romantics flicks who don’t deserve 5 dollars of budget.

    To end, I’ll go see anything with Mark Ruffalo in it…;-)
    I loooooooooooooove him !

    NB : Sorry my english must be really bad, I’m learning but I’m sure I’m doing a lot of mistakes, but the one who’s unhappy with it, show me your french ! ;-)

  22. 22
    Ms Barleo Gaga Pitt Fan Says:

    MllF: Je parle Francais aussi – pas comme vous mais quand-meme pas trop mal. Almodovar is amazing! Your English is great. Yeah, romantic comedies were a Hollywood creation if you will – all those romantic comedies with Doris Day and Cary Grant etc but now they have taken a good thing and turned into a bad receipe. If I see one more Jennifer Aniston movie rehashed with the same plot, I will barf! Everyone is trying to remake Annie Hall. It is so sad. Give it up!. Nice chatting with you. A bientot. On se recontrera sur ce site je m’en suis sur. (Ok, check the French spelling and I’ll check your English). lol. Have a good day!

    @Ms Barleo Gaga Pitt Fan:

    Bravo great French Ms Barleo ! Vous le parlez très bien !

    I’m so Ok with you, especially about Jenifer Anniston movies, it’s such a disaster…
    It so strange because in “Friends”, my personal opinion is that they were all very talented, especially “David Schwimmer / Ross, and Phoebe / Lisa Kudrow were great, but I always tought that Jen Anniston were the baddest actress of the show…
    And in the En, she’s the one who’s making (very bad) movies….try to understand that !

    I love Woody Allen, you make me wanna see Annie Hall tonight…;-)

    France is a very complicated country as the USA I think, we have bad movies and bad music too, but I think that maybe we are more open the the international art.

    Maybe the american audience should do the same (as you), and that would makes Hollywood changes.
    Anyway, for me the real american cinema comes from places like Sundance Festival for example, it’s like the new Hollywood, with quality !

    I know it’s not easy to go see international movies when few theatres “buy” them, but if good TV Show works, it can be the same with the cinema !

    A bientôt sur ce site oui ! ;-)
