Andrew Garfield: 'The Goonies' Is Very Inspiring!

Andrew Garfield leans on Justin Timberlake in this pic taken for W‘s “Best Performance” list.

The fashion mag hailed the two The Social Network co-stars for portraying “characters so real they hurt.”

“I found The Goonies very inspiring. I identified with every character: Mikey, the leader; Mouth, the trickster; Data, the inventor; and Chunk, this lovely, beautiful, sad, misunderstood, slightly larger kid,” Andrew said.

The Goonies is boys needing to be boys on their path to manhood. It’s a classic,” he added.

Check out the other actors who made the cut for W‘s “Best Performances” list!

Yes; The Gooneys was the ish. Its sad how they dont make great tween adventure movies like that anymore but maybe Im too old for the ones they show on disney etc.

wow Justin Timberlake really wants this – you know the whole “I’m an acTOR”. Even though Im not a fan of his I give him an A for effort lol.

I don’t understand why people keep bagging on Justin Timberlake for doing publicity for this movie? He was a big part of it, he did well and the movie is doing (and will do) great during award-season.

PS: DAMN! Andrew Garfield!! *drools*

Andrew Garfield totally outshines Justin Timblerlake in this picture.

PS. I’m really annoyed when I write a comment and the screen goes blank when I submit! It turns out that my comment was submitted! Is that ever going to get fixed?

Andrew was excellent in the film. His acting was superb. Justin, on the other had, cannot act! He only got cast for this film because of his celebrity. And I’m not just basing it on this film.

HOT HOT HOT!! my two favorite men of the moment.

they are both on my hate list

Why do these publications continue to stroke Justin Timberlake’s ego?

Alexandra @ 01/15/2011 at 7:27 pm

@*~*+*~*: Well, you’re on my hate list then. Seriously, it’s pretty pathetic if you hate these two hotties.

So sick of The Social Network. Can someone give them an Oscar already and make them go away? Please. No offense to the actors but I’m so sick of the over-hype before, during, and now after the release of this movie. It’s an O..K. movie but that as great as people are making it out to be. No offense to the actors, it’s all Sony’s fault with the over kill hype.

I LOVE THE GOONIES TOO.
I HAD A BIG CRUSH ON MIKEY, EVERYTHING ON THAT MOVIE WAS GREAT.

@truth: IKR but the reason for the hype is not only to get Oscar buzz but to also boost up Andrew Garfields image – Columbia Pictures (aka Sony) released TSN and are also going to release the new Spider Man. Isnt it a “coincidence” that the new Spider Man poster was released during the golden globes week. Its smart campaigning basically.
