Gabourey Sidibe - Golden Globes 2011 Red Carpet

Gabourey Sidibe struts down the red carpet for the 2011 Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 16) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 27-year-old Precious actress wore a purple printed maxi dress from Marc Bouwer to the star studded event. Gabby finished her look with Martin Katz jewelry!

Gabby is no stranger for the big event. The Academy Award nominated actress also attended last year’s Golden Globes where her movie, Precious, picked up an award last year.

    BEAN Says:

Jeez some of you guys… seriously. Anyway, whoever does her makeup needs to be sued. Her foundation always makes her look really greasy. Maybe it is her skin but even if it is there is still a foundation out there that will suit your skin and wont produce excess oil. She always looks extra shiny and that makes it obvious that the colour of her foundation is too light. That is clearly for someone with a yellow undertone. Whether she is red or yellow it doesn’t suit her.

thin is not a word used for morbidly obese people like her, maybe a little less close to death would be a better way of putting it

I really like Gabby and I truly believe that she has potential. However, that dress is a NO, NO for me…she should stick to black, navy blue, dark purple or brown…Why cant ppl be honest with her and guide her with her style….she looks ridiculous!!!

    Brightside Says:

She’s got to be over the 20 stone mark, more like 25 stone! Definitely pushing the needle past the 300lb marker on her bathroom scales! This is just so unhealthy, her poor internal organs are struggling under a mound of suet to keep that body going, diabetes is an ever present threat if she hasn’t developed it already, circulation problems will swell her feet and ankles, her lungs will be straining to draw a breath standing still and her poor heart, enlarged, weakened by colesterol build up and suet deposits, will be pounding away and getting closer and closer to the heart attack that will finish her off. Obesity is one of the biggest killers in the present world and, if she doesn’t want it to kill her, if she wants some kind of future further down the years where she can marry and have children, then she should….no, MUST….lose weight. It’s imperative. At the moment her body is a walking death sentence.

    Jasmine Says:

@ke$haluv: The are you rambling about?

Someone please, get this girl some oil-blotting sheets. This is unacceptable.

    Svetlana Says:

@Dubya Bush: Careful now…that’s how it starts. 7lbs here, 7lbs there…poof you look like this. Heheh.

ke$shaluv : omg a judge seriously needs to have her forcefully committed to a hospital and forced to lose weight before she costs the system hundreds of thousands because of her gluttony

    ” i completely agree.

SHE LOOKS LIKE A TROPICAL WHALE. she needs to take notes from Amber Riley from Glee. you can be plus size and not look like you’re clinically obese

  25. 25
    Brightside Says:

If it’s Ke$haluv’s comment about how much Gabby’s obesity is going to cost that’s offended you then you forget that she has raised a valid point.
Obesity costs the US 78.5 billion (yes that’s billion) dollars in health care, more than half of it paid by Medicare and Medicaid. Some reports put it far higher. That’s a hell of a lot of money spent trying to help people who seem unable (or unwilling) to help themselves. Think of all the more important things on which that money (American taxpayers money) could be better spent. Education, perhaps, in the poorer sectors of the national community…
Also obese people contribute very little to economic growth because, in many cases, their sheer weight has rendered them unable to work.

It’s a very serious problem and it’s costing America serious amounts of money!
