Kim Kardashian graces the cover of Inland Empire‘s February issue, which features “10 Things You Don’t Know About Her.”
The 30-year-old reality star recently took to her blog to speak out against teen pregnancies.
“It seems that shows like Teen Mom are all of a sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls. The kids from these shows are all over the news, even on the covers of magazines, and have been become almost like celebrities, but girls, these are not people you should idolize!” Kim wrote.
“Having a baby is one one of the biggest, and most life-changing decisions a person can make,” she added, “and while I’m not saying that no teen is in the position to raise a child, having a baby so young shouldn’t be seen as the trendy thing to do.”
“Girls, please, think very carefully before you make these kind of decisions. Talk to your family, friends, teachers, and most of all, be careful,” she wrote.

@nata I agree with you, has she ever watched any episode of Teen Mom. I definitely don’t want to get pregnant young after watching that show. The show in my opinion does not glorify teen pregnancy, it shows how hard it is. The girls however do get famous because of the show, but that has nothing to do with the content on the show. I swear if you asked Kim to clarify and give an example of this glorifying on the show itself, she wouldn’t know what to say, because she is saying what others want her to say about the show, because she doesn’t watch it.

I agree to some extent of what she’s saying but Teen Mom actually turned me away from wanting to have sex young and get pregnant. The pain of delivery, the struggling of how to take care of your child while going to school at the same time, and sometimes having to deal with a no good father is what made me want to wait, but some girls find the show as an influence to ge pregnant. Also she should be the last one to talk about beng a negative influence and them not being role models when she made her career of a sex tape(yeah her father was OJ’s lawyer, but the majority of the people who know of Kim automatically think of the sex tape) and she had the nerve to say they’re all in magazines and on tv, but she made her career on tabloids, magazines and tv. She has good words, but she shouldn’t talk and feel she’s above them when she’s not.

@Go Ask Alice – you have either forgotten what it is like to be a teen or you are very naive. These Kardashians are everywhere – all over TV, all over magazines in every supermarket, all over the internet, all over Twitter etc. It’s impossible for teenage girls not to be exposed to them whether they be put in a box as ‘aimed at teenagers’ or not. And yes, OF COURSE young girls will try to emulate them. Duh. Teenage girls always want to be seen as womanly and sophisticated as soon as possible, and yes, certainly they will try to copy an adult woman that the media is constantly portraying in a sexual way. And you forget that on the show the two youngest sisters are only 14 and 15, exactly the age teenage girls will be able to relate to. Kylie and Kendall obviously idolize the 3 older sisters and the mother Kris is obviously trying to pimp them out as young as possible. In fact, personally I would rate the Kardashians as more damaging as Teen Mom since they are glamorizing the exact attitudes and lifestyle that is degrading to women and leads to unwanted pregnancy. As for Teen Mom; well I could do without them on my magazine covers but I don’t really think it is actively glamorizing teen pregnancy because the portrayal is too realistic.
