Depends on the script… both of them are talented and this has alot of potential to be fun… i think they would have great chemistry… but it will come down to how well it’s written… hopefully the fact that Barbara has signed on means its quality

@Carolyn:
But for the fact that Barbra is, and always will be, a true star! She outshines Aniston like the sun outshines a candle.

I’m glad Barbra is making more movies at this stage in her career. At least she has talent.

He is so annoying and over-rated, and while her voice is divine, she doesn’t seem like a nice, people- person.
.
So no- the potential is too annoying.

$50 says she quits in a huff before the second week of filming is up.

This is exciting. The script is really funny and witty. Perfect fit. I definitely prefer Rogen’s sarcastic kind of humor over Will Ferrel and Jack Black’s.

Rogen is funny, but this plot seems like it’s a retread from other projects he has been attached to. Some of his work has been kind of ho-hum. Like so many other film comedians, he at times becomes a self-parody and the pot-smoking slacker bit wears thin.

Streisand is a great singer and I have enjoyed most of her film work, even the Fockers nonsense. I hope the part gives her something to work with and expand upon. Now that she is older and not doing flims that showcase her voice, she should take some more chances. Who know, maybe that second acting Oscar will come to pass. But if this film hews to her more recent parts, I don’t think I would be interested. She has essentially played a Jewish stereotype in the Fockers movies. She has played a liberal, Californiaish sex therapist who butts heads with DeNiro’s button-downed WASP who is disturbed the earthy manners of his son-in-law’s parents. It is a nice comic device, but it still boils down to something of a stereotype. And please don’t make her the quintessential Jewish mother.

I think Rogen is a talented and smart guy and Streisand is a legend. It would be great if they really bring home the bacon, well maybe turkey bacon to keep it kosher, in this film. Should be interesting to see how things progress. She is famous for being demanding when she is involved in the actual production or direction of a film. Let’s see if they can make it work together. Only time will tell.

Streisand is a legend, and I hope she will make nice comeback on film since she “retired” 15 years ago… Fockers thinkg doesn’t count

Thnka u Barbra, I hope this film will be good, and big hit for you :) we missed you :)

It’s uncanny how much Jennifer Aniston looks like Streisand.
