Synopsis: In 140 AD, 20 years after the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion in the mountains of Scotland, young centurion Marcus Aquila (Tatum) arrives from Rome to solve the mystery and restore the reputation of his father. Accompanied only by his British slave Esca (Jamie Bell), Marcus sets out across Hadrian’s Wall into the highlands of Caledonia – to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father’s memory, and retrieve the lost legion’s golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth.
The film, out February 11, also stars Donald Sutherland, Mark Strong, and Tahar Rahim.

Would it have been so hard for the filmmakers to cast someone capable of doing the correct accent? Tatum sticks out like a sore thumb.

surely uve seen mark strong before -he plays the same character in every movie why not just re-watch one of those!
I don’t think even channing tatum can ruin the entertainment value of this film (not from a females perspective anyway)
I hope the movie doesn’t suck, I love the story of the vanished legion, and I really liked Jamie Bell in King Kong.

Channing Tatum is so overrated.
Seeing this for Jamie Bell, he’s always great.
Seriously, bad choice. Bad acting.
Jamie And Channing are seriously hot together . They have real chemistry on screen. It is a shame they don’t share some hot nude lovemaking scenes or at least a nude bathing scene or a kiss. Still, Jamie looks hot in the arena with his heaving manly bod when Channing rescues him. And Channing nearly nude in bed under a furry rug is totally awesome.
First i thought it’s going to be “so-so” movie with CT as lead actor. I only watch it for Jamie. But after i watched it, this movie turned out to be really good!! Who knew CT can act???? I think under a great director & Oscar winner like Kevin Macdonald, CT can perform really well in a movie. Well done!
