    Go Amber! Looking absolutely amazing!

  • nnn

Her left knee in that 2nd picture has been so photoshoped that it looks as if she doesn’t have a knee!

  • ilia

She is very cute and pretty.

  • pop86

    She looks great

i’m sick of media and hollywood glorifying fat Black women and uplifting skinny white women, it reeks of an agenda.
I’m not Black myself but I am sick of it. They should show more curvy or overweight white women because we are not all a size 2! it’s like they’re saying it’s ok for Black women to be fat or curvy but not white women, we’re all supposed to be slim and skinny.

  • frank

    weeeeeeerkkkk betch.

  • MangerBouger

She belongs to the group of girls who no matter what is gorgeous, even though over-weight. I’m sure that if she tries to slim down, she’ll unfortunately lose her appeal. So don’t !!!!

Kind of agree with Laurie’s comment … but I guess we can’t fight against cultural believes.

  • Wow Factor

    WOW. She is Gorgeous!!!

  • CB

Honestly, the second picture looks a bit too photoshoped, but she is gorgeous anyway. Love her smile.

  • Zoe Moon

She looks great. She deserves all these accolades she is receiving. She is a phenomenal talent on Glee.

  • Celia

She’s so beautiful. I love her curves!

  • Celia

A lot of it is cultural. It’s actually been proven through research that young, white females tend to idolize celebs who are really slim, while young, women of color tend to want their bodies to look like celebs with more curves (i.e. Beyonce, J-Lo, etc).

I personally don’t think there’s one, solid definition of beauty. We come in all different shapes and sizes.

  • mona-fabulous

she looks gorgeous! love her attitude in real life and the show lol. hope she keeps being fierce and gorgeous as always!!

  • jol

What’s the difference between “having curves” and being fat?
Everyone says, oh, Kim Kardashian has curves, this Amber girl has curves, beyonce has curves… but for me this girl is fat, the others aren’t fat, so what’s the difference?
It’s the same with some white girls like Christina Hendricks and Adele… both have “curves” but for me Adele is just fat…

  • Loren

Celia I agree..but sometimes I would like the media to show more skinny black girls that looks like me, and bigger white girls too. I think they’re all beautiful!

  • julie

Girl needs to talk to Jennifer H. about joining Weight Watchers. I am not talking about her becoming a size 0 but looking more like Beyonce, Jennifer, and Kim. High blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes with metabolic failure are all possible for her in the future if she does not start changing her like style. It would be a shame to lose her fabulous talent too early.

  • e

jol, totally agree this girl is fat, period. And while promoting anorexic look and expecting everyone to be size 2 is certainly wrong, trying to convince ourselves that being fat is ok and looks great is pretty foolish. I don’t find anything appealing in those huge tights in skinny leggings. US is a a country of overweight people, face it.

Wow, someone drank some hateraid today! Sweetie it doesn’t do a body good. Sorry.

Essensce is a mag for women designed for Black women of all cultural backgrounds. You won’t see any caucasian women, skinny or not featured in this mag
Go Amber! It’s great to a woman of any culture comfortable with who she is. Too bad Glee chooses to only features her voice, which is used to boost up some of the weaker singers. She really could be an even greater inspiration to a lot of girls.

    get it!
    She looks amazing.

@jol… “curves” equates to having a so-called “hourglass” figure. Once upon a time the “ideal woman’s” measurements were 36″-24″-36″! Anything else was wrong.
While out walking, I saw a person walking ahead of me: 6 feet tall, 100 lbs. with (I kid you not) a 10-12 inch waist! Everyone stopped & stared as he/she walked – So skinny, I swear, in profile would have disappeared! I managed to catch up because a crowd had gathered… Turns out I went to school with her! People peppered her with: “You need to go to the hospital – Not normal!” Genuine concern, rudeness?
She quietly explained that she was “born this way… I’m strong, healthy & suffer from Hyperthyroidism” which means her metabolism is higher than normal & she must consume far more food than most others around her, eating at least 500 calories every half hour & “binge” before going to bed in order to get 8 hours uninterrupted sleep. That’s just to maintain her weight. She HATES the sight, smell & taste of food.
I believe so long as one is healthy & strong love the body – It gets us where we’re going.

@julie: You are self-righteous. Stop being so preachy. You take care of YOUR “health” and let Ms. Amber take care of hers. I know people of all shapes are sizes who are unhealthy. Not just “fatties”.

  • littletough

of all the overweight celebrities I know, she’s the most glamorous and confident. I like her!

  • layla

people on this page is talking about promoting fatness and this and that. but the matter of the fact is that she is not going to drop her weight down overnight. So for the time Being why cant she LOVE her body. i dont understand why other people on the message board are saying she should watch her health, etc. have you seen her dance on glee! She can move like any other character on that show. And it takes a lot of excercise to keep up with the dance moves and sing, especially with that powerful voice of hers . Know Ur Facts b4 you start posting.

  • layla

@jol: sweetie you need to Open YOUR Eyes you dont need to be thin to have cureves. DO YOU NOT SEE THAT CURVE FROM HER BUST LINE TO HER HIP. THIS COMMENT IS PRETTY STUPID
