OlderJulia Roberts: Snow White's Evil Queen!
Julia Roberts has been cast as the Evil Queen in an upcoming adaptation of the classic tale!
The 43-year-old actress will star in The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, which will be produced by Brett Ratner and is set to begin production in April.
”Julia was our first and only choice to play the Queen,” producer and Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh said in a statement. “She is an icon, and we know that she will make this role her own in a way that no one else could.”
FYI: The Brothers Grimm: Snow White is one of two upcoming films based on the tale – Charlize Theron is likely to star as the Evil Queen in Snow White and the Huntsman, the other adaptation!

I actually think that Charlize is a better Evil Queen as she has an icy-ness about her. Whereas Julia just has a bitchy-ness about her. But must say Julia looks like she hates and talks down to her inferiors and the “little people”, so maybe she is a good choice after all LOL.

Honestly, I think leighton meester would be perfect for snow white. Pale skin, great actress. I just think it would be better option than anne hathaway. She already played white queen at alice and she was laughable in the role. Not believable.

@g. Kristen will do great whether she takes it or not. The part of snow white will be the most important, not the queen since obviously the movie is called snow white…snow white has the most screen time and the central character. Kristen’s movie will be better simply because she is snow white and has star power. It will also be her first movie to come out after Twilight is over. An unknown doesn’t have enough star power to carry the film.
i just can’t see julia as the evil queen. bad choice.

Charlize Theron would have made a better evil queen, but Julia according to people who have worked with her as extras or in bit parts has quite the ego. She might make a good evil queen because over the years she looks more and more b i t c h y.
