Gwen Stefani: I'm In My Own Fashion Bubble

Gwen Stefani carries her camera-shy son Zuma through JFK International Airport on Saturday (February 19) in New York City.

The night before, the 41-year-old singer and fashion designer was spotted leaving Milk Studios in Manhattan after an all day photo shoot.

Earlier this week, Gwen showed off the Fall 2011 collection of her L.A.M.B. line during New York Fashion Week.

Gwen recently was asked if she feels like the fashion community has accepted her as a designer.

“It’s kind of like I’m in my own bubble of me. I have my kids. I have my music. I have meetings, and I have a lot of fun doing it. When I started, I thought for sure I would be blacklisted like ‘what does she think she’s doing?’ but everyone has been super supportive,” she told the Wall Street Journal.

“And that’s what builds your confidence and what inspires you to keep going,” she added. “But I do have a little bit of a sewing background and since I was little I made all of my costumes. And I wouldn’t consider myself an equal with any of those ‘designers.’ I’m in my own thing.”
