    Beastly made over 10 million as of this morning $10,115,000 it was only shown in 1,952 theaters whereas Rango was shown in 3,917 theaters and Adjustment Bureau in 2,840, so Beastly rocked the weekend! People went to see it more than once included myself who saw it FOUR times, and the seats were packed each time. Vanessa Hudgens did an excellent job, and I am proud to be called a fan of hers. She shined, Neil brought on the laughs, Alex the romance, and Mary-Kate the karma it was a very good film. Why they put this off was kind of lame. She would have done just as good then. Vanessa you rocked the party! Vanessa proved to all the haters that she is here to stay, and stay for good. Vanessa promoted that movie more then anyone else did in the cast, Neil coming in second, and Alex third. All did a very good job, but she worked it and busted out of the HSM image. Maybe now people will take her more seriously. She has just begun as time unfolds her talent will grow and shine.

  • Renee

    Great for Vanessa and her movie.

    The box office results just goes to show you Jared that no matter how much you try to promote that awful actress Teresa Palmer, you should never cross fans of Zac and Vanessa. They are a loyal dedicated bunch and they will have the last laugh when Zac and Vanessa come back, together, better and stronger then ever!

    TP and her team tried to use Zac and it didn’t work. Karma is a bitch and a lot of people have learned that over the past two+ months.

    beastly made over 10 million jared.

    it was also a great movie. i saw it 3 times and it was packed each time. vanessa truly did AMAZING!! i’m a loyal fan and even i was blown away! i even heard a few people walking out after the movie saying that vanessa proved them wrong when it came to her talent and others even walked as new v fans! neil was HILARIOUS!! gonna go see it again either today or tomorrow!

    btw love van’s line in the movie about the baboon scratching his ass!! everybody cracked up on that part!!!

  • jean

    I’m SOOOOOOOOO happy Beastly flopped!!!!! Bwahahahaha!!!! Eat that (too) Pettyfer!!! Pity for Vanessa cause I like her…

  • i n f a m o u s l y c o o l

    @Fauve: ..shut up and stop lying. we don’t believe you – you need more people. hahahahahaha

  • jj

    wtf is wrong with all you Vanessa fans??? I like her too, but the film is an utter flop! And nearly 2,000 cinemas is NOT a small destribution, it’s a WIDE release! Just because the studio says they expected around 8mil, that doesn’t make it a success; it didn’t make a lot of mone&it got TERRIBLE reviews, I like V too, but come on, let’s be reasonable here, the film was just bad!

  • i n f a m o u s l y c o o l

    “I’m not a 13-year old girl, so I couldn’t care less about Pettyfer’s six-pack abs, so I was focused on what a horrible actor he is with some of the klunkiest, most ridiculous dialogue” – priceless

  • emily

    @Fauve: have you read the reviews??????? They BURRY Vanessa&co! 2,000 theaters is a wide release dude, it’s not a small thing ya know!

  • i n f a m o u s l y c o o l

    “I’m a half-century too old for such tween swill as that which is regurgitated in CBS Films’ Beastly,” another in the ever-expanding clones of Twilight wannabes” – hahahahaha
    .
    …beastly got destroyed by the reviews.

  • Addy

    I want to see Beastly. I don’t care what reviews say I like to judge for myself.

  • An

    Crap

  • Jenny

    The other movies that came in after Beastly in the Box Office were released in more than 2000 theaters and Beastly was only released in 1,900. So if you say that Beastly didn’t success, what do you guys say bout the other movies that had a wider release?

  • Taylor

    get your numbers right. Beastly made 10.1 million, smart one.

  • Allie

    It’s all about making a profit for the studios.

    Classing a film as a success means you have to take into account its budget. Beastly may have only made $10m but its budget is $17m and they obviously did not spend much on promotion. Whereas Rango, the adjustment bureau, take me home tonight’s budgets are so much bigger. Beastly is the most profitable of the 4 so far and it also has foreign pre-sales already. Compared to Remember Me, the Last song, Charlie St Cloud, it is doing so much better. Mathematics people.

  • Haters Suck!

    Its kinda funny, when bandslam got great reviews her haters said reviews don’t matter, now all of a suddeen they matter. Alll so critics may not have liked it, but audiences sure did as it got a B+ on cinemascore. CBS had already made it’s money back even before this from foriegn ticket sales and with this making 10.1 million I could tell you I bet they are very pleased as those within the industry are already said this movie is going to be CBS movies first real success. And when you compare it to say Charlie st cloud which avereged 4.5 thousand per theather while beastly made over 5 thousand per theather. Speaking of mr efron how did his new “friend” ms palmers movie do? Wasn’t it supposed to open this weekend I haven’t seen it on any of the box office lists.

  • Allie

    It debuted at 11. Not surprising really, since it’s been on the shelf for 4 years. That’s not a good sign.

  • i n f a m o u s l y c o o l

    @Haters Suck!: …hahahahahahaha …bandslam?!? …hahahahahahaha …that shite aint make any money! why would you even type that?!? aahahahahahahahah

  • e

    Besides, speaking of the reviews, maybe most were to old to see the movie and/or had already decided that they wouldn’t like it if before the movie even started, but at least those that trash Vanessa should read the whole reviews, everyone is praising her and saying that her along with NPH are the best things about the movie, someone said that Vanessa shows in the movie that she will be around for a long, long time. I’m so happy that ‘Beastly’ is doing so well.

  • tula

    Beastly FLOPPED.

    Getting all excited for a movie that barely opened with 10 mill is not impressive. Vanessa fans r sad lol Then again u thought Bandslam was a success

    Let’s see if the real numbers r even lower

  • true lies

    @tula:

    Your ignorant. Beastly did not flop. It had a budget of around 17 million. Even if it brings in 9 million, it would have already made more than half of its budget back. Also, it made about 17 million in foreign pre-sales. So how is this a flop again? Read the facts people before you start making silly comments. lol

  • Haters Suck!

    @infamouslycool
    To make my point. Your saying how beastly got bad reviews, well bandslam got GREAT reviews. And beastly is making money you dumba$$.

  • peggy

    @jj:

    You want to be reasonable CSC made $12,500,00 on 2,718 screens Beastly made almost as much with 766 less screens (1,952).

    AND Beastly has made back nearly all its production costs in Foreign pre sales thats not counting people who will buy a ticket the day the film opens in their country and it hasn’t stopped making money here yet.

    And since you know nothing about the movie business anything under 2, 000 screens is considered a “narrow release.”

  • Marine

    Now this Hudgens/Efron war is really getting on my nerves! Seriously people grow up!
    Hudgens fans, do you really need to talk about CSC to prove to yourself that she’s better? How childish is that…
    Efron fans, no need to bash Hudgens. Ignore what’s going on around her…
    Hating on people because they are not together anymore, really? good job! That’s very mature of you guys.

    Some people liked Beastly, other people didn’t so respect their opinion for God’s sake! Damn, no wonder nobody comes to this website anymore Jared….

  • Observer

    Beastly did well,but the reviews were not so good even for vanessa, can we be truthful about that. Thou shall fight fairly. CSC has nothin do wit this post. Some pple both haters and fans cnt just let it alone. Which is so sad, becos i think a person success has nothin do wit another person’s success or failures. My observatn is that v fans want to rub her successes in z face, therefore z fans, refuse to be open to her and want to bring up the negative aspects. Her success has nothing to do wit zac if you think it does then were does it put other actors and actresses that her also her friends that are not doin as well as she is right now? Don’t bother i already know the answer, you come up wit perfectly good reason for that. Which will set the z fans up then we would another round of fights.

  • Fauve

    I never commented on the reviews because that does not matter to me the people who were in the theater the 4 times I went enjoyed and loved it. A critic is not paying for the tickets the fans are the movie goers are. No need to compare this movie to past movies only ones that are in the box office she is a success as far as the studios are concerned. Sucker Punch will do better but this is a good success for a smaller made movie it should have been about 30 minutes longer with more scenes between her and Alex developing their relationship.

  • PVfan

    @Allie:

    AMEN.

  • PVfan

    @jean:

    Sorry but… Beastly didn’t flop.

  • Jokergurl

    Two of my favorites are the voices in this movie so congrats to Johnny Depp and Timothy Olyphant, studly gentlemen!

  • nkenk

    Bandslam wasn’t a success but everyone said by FAR the best part of the movie was Vanessa. I think Beastly did pretty well I wasn’t expecting it to even hit the top three so i’m happy for Vanessa. Suckerpunch will do WAY better though

  • i n f a m o u s l y c o o l

    @Haters Suck!: …lmaooo you’re such a fcuking idiot. listen, both of our opinions mean nothing. “men lie, women lie, numbers dont” …Beastly FLOPPED!

  • yep

    congrats to them all! especially in this economy!

  • Haters Suck!

    @infamouslycool
    well IMO you are a piece of $hit. Look at the numbers beastly only cost $17 million which it already made back from the forgein market and then made the 10.1 million this weekend. That’s not a flop dip$hit now go back to your corner and suck your thumb some more and come back when your all grown up.

    what the hell are you talking about vanessa haters?you’re saying that beastly flopped?oh come on…any evidence?Beastly is only shown to selected cinemas in US..and we,here in asia…did’nt seen it yet…if beastly was seen worldwide..it will be a success…i know vanessa is very talented..and she really outshines in everything that she’d done…BEASTLY is a good movie..as far as i know and based on trailers,don’t compare it to fairytale..it is a modernized one…don’t hate vanessa…cause she’s just making you feel insecure to yourself…love her and support her..and you’ll be pretty amazing..like us…right VANESSA fan…we did’nt hate zac!!!!

  • Bree

    Of course Beastly isn’t gonna flop… not with all you obsessed tweens dragging your parents to watch it.

    It was still a bad movie. The only good thing written by critics about Vanessa Hudgens is that she’s good looking. Acting-wise, she flopped.

    Bandslam was a sweet movie, but mostly because the story/writing/dialogue was good. I don’t think the actors needed much range to carry out their characters. That kid that played Will was excellent though.

  • Anni

    @Bree
    So, you could play a person in Bandslam if it was so easy to do it? Take a try and publish a video of yours on youtube. And what the hell is so bad of teens and the parents that go in the movie? Btw, I don´t believe that every teen goes with there parents. And before you say I should learn English, I´m not a English native speaker.

  • Avi

    Rango was so good!!
