Beastly made over 10 million as of this morning $10,115,000 it was only shown in 1,952 theaters whereas Rango was shown in 3,917 theaters and Adjustment Bureau in 2,840, so Beastly rocked the weekend! People went to see it more than once included myself who saw it FOUR times, and the seats were packed each time. Vanessa Hudgens did an excellent job, and I am proud to be called a fan of hers. She shined, Neil brought on the laughs, Alex the romance, and Mary-Kate the karma it was a very good film. Why they put this off was kind of lame. She would have done just as good then. Vanessa you rocked the party! Vanessa proved to all the haters that she is here to stay, and stay for good. Vanessa promoted that movie more then anyone else did in the cast, Neil coming in second, and Alex third. All did a very good job, but she worked it and busted out of the HSM image. Maybe now people will take her more seriously. She has just begun as time unfolds her talent will grow and shine.

Great for Vanessa and her movie.

The box office results just goes to show you Jared that no matter how much you try to promote that awful actress Teresa Palmer, you should never cross fans of Zac and Vanessa. They are a loyal dedicated bunch and they will have the last laugh when Zac and Vanessa come back, together, better and stronger then ever!

TP and her team tried to use Zac and it didn’t work. Karma is a ***** and a lot of people have learned that over the past two+ months.

beastly made over 10 million jared.

it was also a great movie. i saw it 3 times and it was packed each time. vanessa truly did AMAZING!! i’m a loyal fan and even i was blown away! i even heard a few people walking out after the movie saying that vanessa proved them wrong when it came to her talent and others even walked as new v fans! neil was HILARIOUS!! gonna go see it again either today or tomorrow!

btw love van’s line in the movie about the baboon scratching his ass!! everybody cracked up on that part!!!

I’m SOOOOOOOOO happy Beastly flopped!!!!! Bwahahahaha!!!! Eat that (too) Pettyfer!!! Pity for Vanessa cause I like her…

@Fauve: ..shut up and stop lying. we don’t believe you – you need more people. hahahahahaha

wtf is wrong with all you Vanessa fans??? I like her too, but the film is an utter flop! And nearly 2,000 cinemas is NOT a small destribution, it’s a WIDE release! Just because the studio says they expected around 8mil, that doesn’t make it a success; it didn’t make a lot of mone&it got TERRIBLE reviews, I like V too, but come on, let’s be reasonable here, the film was just bad!

“I’m not a 13-year old girl, so I couldn’t care less about Pettyfer’s six-pack abs, so I was focused on what a horrible actor he is with some of the klunkiest, most ridiculous dialogue” – priceless

@Fauve: have you read the reviews??????? They BURRY Vanessa&co! 2,000 theaters is a wide release dude, it’s not a small thing ya know!

i n f a m o u s l y c o o l @ 03/06/2011 at 4:31 pm

“I’m a half-century too old for such tween swill as that which is regurgitated in CBS Films’ Beastly,” another in the ever-expanding clones of Twilight wannabes” – hahahahaha
.
…beastly got destroyed by the reviews.

I want to see Beastly. I don’t care what reviews say I like to judge for myself.

The other movies that came in after Beastly in the Box Office were released in more than 2000 theaters and Beastly was only released in 1,900. So if you say that Beastly didn’t success, what do you guys say bout the other movies that had a wider release?

get your numbers right. Beastly made 10.1 million, smart one.

It’s all about making a profit for the studios.

Classing a film as a success means you have to take into account its budget. Beastly may have only made $10m but its budget is $17m and they obviously did not spend much on promotion. Whereas Rango, the adjustment bureau, take me home tonight’s budgets are so much bigger. Beastly is the most profitable of the 4 so far and it also has foreign pre-sales already. Compared to Remember Me, the Last song, Charlie St Cloud, it is doing so much better. Mathematics people.
