Adam Lambert's 'Aftermath' Remix: Exclusive First Listen!

Check out this exclusive first listen of Adam Lambert‘s new Billboard remix of “Aftermath”!

The 29-year-old entertainer will perform an acoustic version of “Aftermath” TONIGHT (March 10) on American Idol!

After his performance, you can buy the remix on AdamOfficial.com – a portion of the proceeds will benefit The Trevor Project, a crisis intervention and suicide prevention organization for LGBTQ youth.

“[“Aftermath”]…was written about finding the courage to be honest with yourself and the people who love you. It’s about facing adversity and taking risks in the name of personal liberation. The song takes on different meanings to different listeners,” Adam said in a statement. “I hope this song inspires people to be who they truly want to be… And dance!”

I think I prefer the original one, but if it takes this remix to reach more people, I’m more than comfortable with it. GO ADAM!

@sillyme:

FYI, the Trevor Project doesn’t help only LGBT teens. They help straight teens as well. It’s just that they’re known more for helping the LGBT community.

Plus, there are LOTS of other organizations for suicide in general, but because it’s “in general” the minority is often forgotten, sadly. Trevor Project is one of the few that makes sure that doesn’t happen.

It seems like you don’t realize that it’s a struggle to be part of a minority. To be overlooked. A silent struggle because a minority’s voices are often drowned out by the majority. So they need whatever spotlight they can get to get some sort of equality, a balancing of the scales.

So. Way to assume. And (in your own words) care only about your own special interest group.
Because that’s essentially what you’re doing– Failing to see the bigger picture.

P.S. The other side of the coin is that targeting a more specific group yields more effective results. Think about it. How helpful does a charity that does lots of things seem when you see an ad for it, and you don’t really even know exactly where your money is going? It’s too easy for your charitable giving to drown in in all the possibilities and end up getting spread so thin it that it just doesn’t do anything to really help. A drop makes bigger ripples in a pond than in an ocean.

I’m loving this remix, and I don’t usually care much for remixes. I’ll definitely buy it, especially since the proceeds go to the Trevor Project. It’s a great cause :D

@sillyme: Do your research before you spout your vitriolic nonsense.

Watched Adam’s Idol performance on youtube (already) an hour before it airs here in western Canada.
Loved him on Idol and followed him right through the Glam Nation Tour. I think his fan base will grow after tonight’s performance.

Really proud of fellow Canadian Billboard producer (Mathieu Jomphe).

@sillyme: Everyone was so nice to you. Dickhead, have you failed to notice the extreme hateful comments against Adam, ALWAYS posted here and EVERYWHERE on the internet and ALWAYS calling him gay slurs. Go find someone else to bi!ch about if you don’t like it.

Loving this so much!

@sillyme: Too bad you only care about yourself and will not give credit to someone trying to help even if it is one person. If you are not going to be part of the solution get out of the way and stop being so critical of others who are trying to help.

Lot’s of teenagers/younger people aren’t sure about their sexuality, or know they are straight, and they are still bullied using gay slurs. In fact I’d be surprised if it wasn’t one of the primary forms of bullying used against boys regardless of their sexual identity.
