'Lost' Stars Talk Life After Leaving the Island

Lost actors Matthew Fox, Jorge Garcia, and Josh Holloway share their thoughts on returning to real life after their hit series ended.

Here’s what the actors had to share in a new EW interview:

Matthew, on Jack’s role in the finale:. “Redemption is always a big theme for me, so I had waited a long, long time for that moment for Jack. He had made so many mistakes and fallen apart and become this shell of a man and was really lost. And to finally get to play that end where he knows – he has the singular clarity of what he’s meant to do and what the sacrifice will be – that felt good.”

Jorge, on people’s reactions to the series finale: “I still get people who say that they love the show and didn’t like the ending, and they’ll ask me what I thought of the ending. I love the ending. For one thing, I end up with the Island. How can I not like that ending?”

Josh, on looking back at moments in his life surrounding the show: “God, it was just magical. That’s where I got my first home, got married, had my first child. The things that happened there in Hawaii were phenomenal. I have no regrets…. However, [last summer] I’m looking around going, ‘Damn, I wish I had a job to go to.’ I was a little bit – forgive the pun, I’m gonna finally be able to use that word lost again one day – but I felt a little lost. I’m like, ‘Oooh, this is tough to hang back and play chess now.’”

Amazing show and cast. Awesome idea for their issue.
That’s how phenomenal it was, it gets a cover story one year later.

This show literally got “lost” and became a cluster mind-fu-k”…
writers were scramblibng to find meaning to things and when JJ realized they couldn’t…caved with the ..”it is what you want it to be” deal..

Like the Sopranos ending this show blew!

I loved lost and I guess I am one of those who was disappointed in the ending. But I still love these characters and actors and I wondered what they are doing now. Except for Daniel Dae Kim who is on Hawaii 5-0 who else is working?

Love LOST. Watched every season quite a few times. But absolutely hated the final season and the series finale was horrible. I don’t know how anyone can be okay with That ending. The whole final season was pointless since they were all dead in the end. And they never showed us what happened to those who made it off the island. I never hated a whole season before but the final season of Lost takes the cake. Season 5 is my preferred ending.

LOST was the sh*t. People need to stop complaining about the ending.

Had a ridiculously good-looking cast. Everyone was hot.

I’m interested to find out what everyone’s up to now- but why isn’t Jorge on the cover- he was a major character too!

I love LOST – best thing ever on TV, some of the cast expecially Jorge really love the fans and were as much fans of the story as the viewers – it is amazing to hear what they are all up to one year on. I still cant watch the final episode without crying my eyes out! The ending was perfect and I think the more you watch it the more you can understand it – best ending – if you loved the characters you love the ending, I said I just wanted them all to have their happy ending and they did. I MISS YOU LOST!

I don’t know how anyone can be okay with That ending. The whole final season was pointless since they were all dead in the end. And they never showed us what happened to those who made it off the island.
