Orlando Bloom: I Can Highly Recommend Fatherhood

Orlando Bloom chats with a friend on Monday (March 14) on Melrose Boulevard in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 34-year-old English actor and new dad headed to Decorative Carpets to check out a few home furnishings after his conversation.

Orly recently told THR that he’s thrilled to be a father to his newborn son, Flynn. “I’m 34 and it’s great timing actually. it’s the best thing. I can highly recommend it,” he shared.

It’s good seeing a celebrity embrace fatherhood, for a chance. Sometimes it seems as though being a parent just isn’t cool anymore, at least judging with how all the “cool kids” seem to shy away from it.

And he’s such a good daddy, too!
And so handsome!
I’m still buzzing about his Romeo, yesterday!
@2
He’s talked about wanting to be a father since he first started doing interviews after LOTR.
And as he says, this is the perfect time for him to be a dad.
He’s older and settled, not to mention extremely financially secure.
After seeing him with the children in Nepal on his first trip for UNICEF, it was pretty obvious that this man was born to be a dad.

Cutest celebrity new dad!! ♥

Fatherhood he likes, it’s the marriage he can do without, hence the lack of wedding ring. I don’t blame him, I wouldn’t want to be married to that either.

Wow!
Delphi-mike made it here pretty quick.
Must ge her rotation on the Miranda 24/7/365 stalking line.
But yes, we all know that the ring makes the marriage! You aren’t really married unless you have a big, gaudy ring, right? And the more money you spend on the rings, means the more you love that person, right. Isn’t that what love is all about? The jewelry?
LOL!
Maybe someday you will find love and realize that jewelry is not what’s important.
But I can’t see that happening any time soon.
No man wants a woman so consumed with hatred that they don’t have time for anything else.
Unless you change, you will be alone for the rest of your life.
That’s what really bugs you about Miranda, isn’t it.
That she has EVERYTHING. And you have NOTHING>
pathetic.

He is so handsome!

He’s so gorgeous!

He’s so cute!
Looks like he is just coming from a workout, or something.

He sure got a workout on stage, Sunday.
He was a GREAT Romeo.
He was gorgeous, passionate, gorgeous, and so full of gorgeous energy.
And gorgeous!
Did I mention gorgeous!
=)

You lucky people from LA! I wish I could go to this event and see Romeo- Orlando. Was Miranda there?

Honestly, I love Orlando, but why does he always look so poorly dressed? His clothes never seem to fit right – or something. You would think being married to a fashion model would have rubbed off on him a little by now. Nevertheless – he’s still cute and I think he’ll make a wonderful father.

It was just a short run, and it is over now.
=(
But the Sunday performance was broadcast to theaters all over the US and Canada.
It was wonderful!
Maybe they will put it out on DVD so that more people can see it.
I hope that they do.
He deserves to have everyone see how fantastic he was as Romeo.
And I would love a 2nd, 3rd, 50th viewing myself.
=)

I think the fact that he doesn’t care about how he looks is part of his charm.
I’ve never cared for men who seem to spend too much time in front of a mirror.

Yes, Miranda was there.
There were a couple of pics with Miranda, Orlando and Dudamel.
They all looked great!

He’s not always poorly dressed. Like at the fashion show front row he was wearing a high fashion version of his usual outfit and looking quite smart. However, he seems to have incredible difficulty finding trousers that fit his bum well. Even the Uniqlo trousers don’t fit properly. He ought to have clothes made to measure.

Personally I don’t think it’s right for a father to wear trousers that sag so much they seem like they’re about to fall off, as here. Fathers are supposed to provide an example of adult competence to their sons, and being able to keep your trousers from falling down is a pretty basic requirement.

I suppose it MIGHT have something to do with his back injury which means it’s uncomfortable to wear tight belts. He has said he likes to wear comfortable clothes, and I’ve never been in chronic pain so I can’t tell, but maybe it makes discomfort much harder to take.

Really?
He’s a bad father because he wears baggy pants?
Well, OK then.
Hey, Orlando!
Don’t worry about teaching your son about the importance of charity work, or helping out children in need. Or the difference between right and wrong, or standing up for the oppressed. Or giving him unconditional love, support and protection.
Noooooooooo.
It’s the PANTS that are important!
Jude Law was photographed wearing the same dropped seat pants that Orlando was wearing in Paris when Miranda walked Balenciaga while pregnant. Maybe we should alert Child Protective Services so that they can get his childred away from those pants!!!
See how stupid that sounds now?
Sheesh.

Haha – I knew I’d get that kind of response. I was being a bit flippant.

I don’t mind the Balenciaga pants – I meant the pants in these photos. If YOUR father slobbed around in tracksuit bottoms like he’s wearing in these photos, that look like they’re going to fall off at any minute, wouldn’t you be mortified and inclined not to respect him? All he has to do is tighten the string. He was wearing some shorts a few weeks ago which were even worse and you could see the fly of his underpants.

Yes, I’m sure Orlando will be unconditionally loving to his kids, accept them as they are (which is extremely important) be enthusiastic and encouraging, set them an example of being open-minded and kind-hearted. He will be a “good enough parent”.

BUT it would also be good if he didn’t let his trousers almost fall off.

Well, with all of the idiotic theories popping up about Orlando, Miranda and the baby, one can’t really tell who is being serious, and who is being flip.
In fact, I’ll bet you a dollar that this EXACT theory was put forth on a certain hater board. I seem to recall a hater saying that he was acting juvenile because he wears loose pants, so I wouldn’t put it past them.
But I have to give props to one of the delphites.
One of them actually actually stepped forward and called the haters out who were saying nasty things about Flynn.
She will probably be banned any minute now for not toeing the party line.
