Michael Gough - Batman's Butler - Dead at 94

Michael Gough died at age 94 on Thursday (March 17) in his home in England surrounded by family.

The British actor is best known for playing Bruce Wayne’s butler Alfred opposite three different Batmans: Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, and George Clooney.

His ex-wife Anneke Wills said through her agent, “As his body was deteriorating this week, he said that he wanted to hang on for St. Patrick’s Day. And he did, just. In the end … there is only love.”

RIP. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Michael‘s friends and family!

I loved Alfred. He was such a wonderful, father like figure to Batman, Robin, and his niece. Since he lived to 94, we should only be sad that he is no longer around. We were lucky to have him.

RIP – My prayers are with his family.

Aww, I really liked him in the Batman movies, he lived to be 94 that’s wonderful, he had a calmness about him, great chemistry with Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer and George Clooney. Rest in peace Alfred.
