Orlando Bloom Wigs Out on 'El Hormiguero'

Orlando Bloom wears a blonde wig as he makes an appearance on the popular Spanish TV show El Hormiguero on an episode airing Wednesday (March 16) in Madrid, Spain.

The 34-year-old English actor was channeling his Lord of the Rings character, Legolas!

While on the show, Orly chatted about Boss Orange and got silly with the hosts, wearing ski goggles and playing the drums.

He looked so handsome on this show!
And he is such a great sport. Playing all of their games, and laughing at himself!
    So adorable.
He even impressed the host with his sweetness and good humor.
    LOVE HIM!!

  • Cute Orlando

Cute. My favorite Orlando – all animated and sort of goofy. He still looks very young when he’s acting silly and boyish. Still can be a real charmer when he wants to be.

  • allspice30

I loved watching him in this!! He was so relaxed and having so much fun with the host and himself. Great to see him like this!!!!! You go Orlando!!!!

I mourn Orlando’s career. He’ll never get it back.

    Delphi-Mike!
    Where you been, girl?
Was it your afternoon off from stalking?
    LOL!
Orlando earns millions for sitting on his butt.
You earn nothing but ulcers from hating total strangers all day.
I’m going to go with Orlando being the winner, here.
    PMSL!

  • yeah right

So he`s promoting perfumes now, like appearing in tv shows not for movies but for perfums .. oh, well.

  • @10

Well, it shows he’s good value on a show and people are still interested in him, and when Three Musketeers comes out he’ll probably be on a load of shows.

But it’s funny, I just watched him on Lorraine which he was on for about two minutes. He did promote Three Musketeers as well as Boss Orange. But she asked him what else was happening and he refused to say: “there’s a couple of exciting things but I can’t talk about them” when he could have said “I’ve got this great movie about a crazy doctor which I actually produced and it’s coming out at the Tribeca Film Festival in May.”

I don’t really get him sometimes. How he can be producing films and say he loves acting, and doesn’t seize every opportunity to tell people about what he’s been doing and how excited he is about it.

  • GOLLUM?

I was sad and disappointed when he couldn’t remember Gollum’s name. LOTR trilogy made Orlando famous and popular. I am sure that every LOTR fan could name Gollum in a second, anytime. Orlando said something like” that one is from LOTR”. Yes, Gollum is important role, just like Legolas.

  • @10

I see that haters are still pretending that they aren’t aware of all of the movies that he has made in the last few years, eh?
    Orlando has it all.
Beautiful wife, gorgeous son, and people willing to pay him LOTS of money to be the face of their products.
But just to please you, he will be on television the world over as they use their biggest star to promote 3M.
Since he was the one the media focused on, and the one that the public wanted, The Duke will be the main draw for promoting the film come October.
Then you can go back to complaining about him doing too many blockbusters, and not enough indies.

  • @12

Awwww, do you think that he hurt Gollum’s feelings?
Legolas never had a scene with Gollum.
Legolas never mentioned his name, or talked about him.
Orlando knows the actor that played Gollum, not the character. He probably was about to blurt out the name ‘Andy’, and knew that it was wrong, then had a brain-fart about the character’s name.
You are just trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. It’s not like he forgot Legolas’ name, for goodness sake.

  • GOLLUM?

    @@12:

Andy would be ok. For sure, better answer than one he gave.

  • @15

But they weren’t using Andy’s image, they were using Gollum’s.
    He drew a blank.
It happens, and it’s no big deal.
To anyone but you, it seems.

  • @15

I was a bit surprised too. He does seem to have memory problems though – do you remember the interview for Sympathy For Delicious where he couldn’t remember the name of the band he played with and had to ask Juliette Lewis? It also took him a while to think of Johnny Depp’s name, apparently. And I have exactly similar memory problems so I hate to see people immediately assuming it is due to indifference.

  • GOLLUM?

    @@15:
What can I do, I am just BIG LOTR fan.

  • @18

Him being in the movie does not automatically make him a LOTR ‘fan’.
He is obviously grateful, and appreciates the opportunities that the role brought to his doorstep. And he worships Peter Jackson. That’s more telling about his personality than his forgetting the name of a character that he never interacted with.

  • Maybe

He’s dyslexic. Maybe that has something to do with him being able to recall and then recite names from memory instantly. Talking about his dyslexia in an interview, he said he sometimes has problems with auditions because of it. Whatever. I really don’t see it as a big deal. It’s been a long time since he worked on LOTR.
