Orlando Bloom Bikes with a Buddy

Orlando Bloom wears a helmet and sunglasses while riding his bicycle with a friend on Friday (April 1) in Pasadena, Calif.

The 34-year-old British actor recently chatted about bonding with his 3-month-old son Flynn.

“It’s mad because as a woman you carry the baby for nine months so you’re very conscious that you have a little one inside of you,” Orly told British morning show Lorraine (via People).

“But, for a guy, it’s like suddenly there’s a baby there. It’s like, ‘What, whoa?’ But he’s amazing,” he revealed.

“I’ve been bathing with him a lot recently, it’s been really cute,” he added. “It’s a really nice little moment.”

Orlando is a star just not the Calibur of Jack Albertson or Paul Newman both of whom are legends and probably knew eachother back in the day. through both having a mutual friendship with Patricia Neal with whom both appeared in a film Paul in Hud for which both he & Mrs Neal were oscar nominated and she won & Jack in the Subject Was Roses for which both were also oscar nominated and he won best supporting actor. of course Mr Albertson also played the grandfather in Willie Wonka & The Chocolate Factory which is kind of Ironic because it was Neal’s husband at the time that wrote the children’s book on which that movie is based correct her husband at the time was Roald Dahl and the book was Charlie & The Chocolate factory which was published in the spring/summer of 1964 right after she won the oscar for Hud and gave birth to their 3rd daughter Ophelia they had one son Theo who was 3 years and 9 1/2 months older

It’s gonna take something faster than that bike to get away from that woman your saddled with, Orlando! Get back on your Ducati! GO! GO! GO! While you still can!

  • @8

    Poor Orlando.
“Saddled” with a Victoria’s Secret Model who is not only gorgeous, sweet, kind and successful in her own right. But one who also just blessed you with a son.
    Poor Orlando.
I’m sure that millions of guys are just weeping in sympathy for you.

  • @Mike

What do you mean – while you still can? He’s now got a baby who he wants to eat up.

Mark Ruffalo likes Miranda. He says on his Twitter “thanks for the love – you’re AMAZING!”. To me the balance of probability is that she is a very nice person, though I’ve seen a few people who knew her back then complaining that she was full of herself. Similar complaints about Orlando, too.

  • nice little moment

Did I understand it right? When Orlando said: “I’ve been bathing with him a lot recently, it’s been really cute. It’s a really nice little moment.” I hope he is bathing his son, but not with him in the same time in the same bathing tube. This child is far too little- only three month- for such (unhygienic) activities.

  • @11

I understand breastfed babies are pretty resistant to infections. Has there ever been a study linking co-bathing with ill-health?

  • @11

I’m sure that he meant that he is bathing him.
I don’t think anyone would take a baby that small into a tub. There’s just no way to hold onto him while you bathe yourself. Orlando seems like a very responsible dad. And he isn’t stupid.

  • @12

they are just trying to start something again, since the ‘OMG they took the baby on a plane’ track got shot down.

  • @13

Of course people take small babies into the tub with them! It’s quite unnerving washing a tiny baby in a baby bath because you need three hands – one to support the head, one to stop the baby slipping around in the water, and one to wash him/her. If you’re in the tub with them you can support them against your body (eg the shoulder) with one hand and wash with the other. They also like it better because tiny babies don’t really like being uncurled and exposed and they’d rather be snuggled up against a parent. You don’t try and wash yourself at the same time, naturally.

  • duh

There’s nothing wrong with bathing yourself and a baby in the tub. Infections? Unless Orlando got a shower of nuclear waste before bathing there’s no danger for the baby.
This idea that children must be protected from absolutely everything in the environment is what’s making the immune system of people so lame lately.

I have two kids. Two hands are totally enough to bath a baby (small or bigger). You just need some practice. I am not familiar with the idea of bathing together. You can wash yourself before, but still- some pubic hair or hair can fell. It is gross. Or to put on your bathing clothes- then what is the point?

  • @17

Well, I might be clumsier than you or have had bigger babies. And I wasn’t grossed out by the idea of my own baby getting into contact with mine or my husband’s pubic hair.

It’s quite OK for you to feel it is gross and not to want to do it yourself. I just meant to say that it isn’t dangerous and feels safer for some people.
