Lauren Conrad graces the cover of Allure magazine’s May 2011 issue – it marks the mag’s first iPad issue!
Here’s what the 25-year-old fashionista had to share:
On being called ‘Reality Show Talent”:“They called me that, and I’m like, ‘What’s my talent?’”
On what she’d like to erase from her on-camera moments: “I was always a little bit embarrassed when I would be drunk on camera.”
On how she sees herself: “I’m not a sexy person. I’m OK with it. I’ve never been the sexy girl. Whenever I’ve had a boyfriend, he’s always been like, ‘Oh, you’re cute.’”
On her body issues: “It wasn’t ‘Lauren Debuts Her Line’; it was ‘Lauren Debuts a Fuller Figure,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, no!’ because I’d put on a few pounds….If I’m shopping and I see paparazzi, my bag goes directly to my thighs.”

I haven’t ever seen The Hills (nor am I planning to) but she seems like one of the very few reality stars to ask ”What’s my talent?”
She is no different than Snookie or the Kardashians. AT least Snooki has personality and Kim has amazing looks though. These Hills girls were always such snobs! they could hardly laugh or smile. very dry personalities. I wanted to yawn every time I watched their lame show.

The magazine industry is dying from digital and that’s the real point to take away from this cover.

The Hills was a vacuous and useless show and unfortunately allowed spans of satan (read: heidi and spencer ) to make money and gain fame when they really deserved nothing at all.
Lauren clearly sees that it wasn’t about talent, she doesn’t build herself up in that way. She played a really whiny, shallow person on that show but from her interviews, she seems like a really nice person.
