Kate Walsh: Tribeca Portrait Studio

Kate Walsh visits the Tribeca Film Festival 2011 portrait studio on Saturday (April 23) in New York City.

Last week, the 43-year-old Private Practice actress joined Oceana demonstrators who urged Congress to stop offshore drilling.

“I was devastated, it was sort of like a sucker punch, and the frustration that I think everyone felt of not being able to stop it,” Kate told Yeas & Nays. “It was insane to me that it went on as long as it did, but it’s also humbling and informative in that, look, in this day in age, when we can send somebody to the moon, and we can talk on a phone that we take everywhere and watch TV on our watches, that nature is still there and we can’t go and drill without accidents happening–it’s just dangerous and it’s dirty.”
