Jake Gyllenhaal: Shaved Head for 'End of Watch'

Jake Gyllenhaal shows off his shaved head while getting to work on his upcoming movie, End of Watch, on Thursday (April 21) in Los Angeles.

The 30-year-old actor shot some promo pics with co-star Michael Pena in full police uniform.

The David Ayer-directed drama centers on the long-term friendship and partnership between two cops and is expected to hit theaters sometime next year.

On Friday, Jake covered up his new look by wearing a Pittsburgh Pirates cap and hoodie while leaving Tavern restaurant.

    Why would anyone want to see a movie with this guy in it? Where have all the real movie stars gone?

    shooting doesn’t start until July 6th, these were promotional shots they were doing in downtown LA last week.

    Jake is on the Railroad revival tour with Mumsford and Son hanging out on the train and backstage.

    I find it kind of funny when he butches it up like this, kind of like a kid dressing up. I do like him and I really hope he has some respectable box office finally, so many misses!

    @Ken:

    Ken I feel the same way as you did in terms of “dressing up.” I think Jake is a terrific talent but when he goes into “butch” or “tough” mode I don’t fully believe it. He was very good in playing tough in Jarhead. But that’s the thing for me. I SEE him playing tough but I never once actually BELIEVED it. Mainly because Jake’s screen personality is mainly of a brainy intellectual and not a butchy Alpha Male. In fact when I think of his performance in Jarhead the only thing I fully remember about it was his half-naked, now infamous Santa dance. Now that scene was HAWT! LOL.

    @Mumford&Fans: I’m sure some of his friends loaned him some clothes. I think Jake is a wanna be musician, he has a lot of friends who are in that biz.

    most of Hollywood’s great stars are either retired or dead. he’s never going to be in the league with Clark Gable Cary Grant Gary Cooper & his own godfather Paul Newman. he’s a decent actor but those 4 were great the charecters their best remembered for are Rhett Butler Gone With The Wind Marshall Kane in Gugh Noon Tom Winters in Houseboat & Fast Eddie Felson in The Hustler & Color Of Money for which he won the oscar on his 7th nomination as best actor the six actors that had beat him previously were David Niven, Maxamilian Schell, Sidney Poitier,Rod Steiger, Henry Fonda & Ben Kingsley & the films for which they won were Seperate Tables, Judgement at Nurenburg, Lilies In The Field, In The Heat Of The Night, On Golden Pond & Ghandi

    se Says:

    Perhaps the actors haven’t blame because the film aren’t good at present.
    The great actors in the past had better directors and filmmakers whose had more background and made the film about books AND LITERATURE.
