Leighton Meester helps light the Empire State Building red and white to raise awareness about the need for bone marrow donors on Thursday (April 28) in New York City.
The 25-year-old actress – and the newest face of Vera Wang perfume – teamed up with Vera herself and Katharina Harf, co-founder and COO of DKMS Americas, the world’s largest bone marrow donor center.
Later in the evening, Leight will take part in the Coty-DKMS Linked Against Leukemia Gala to support the important cause.

Leighton is amazingly gorgeous. I love her. She’s really beautiful and a really sweet girl. It would be good if she gets a role in the new Superman, Avengers or Star Trek movies. I hope either her or Jessica Szohr or Evan Rachel Wood will play Ursa in Man of Steel.

aww bb looks soo happy!! and gorgeous! and adorable!! i love her speech my friends little sister has leukemia and she gave her bone marrow, was out of school but she said it was the best gift she could ever give! because it saved her little sister!! so happy leighton is doing this because it def. hits close to home, and its sad because probably everyone in this world knows someone who has cancer or they have it! we need to be a stop to this terriable disease!! just i didnt think i could love her or idolize, adore her more, but i just ugh, I LOVE YOU LEIGHTON MARISSA MEESTER! your deffiently an inspiration!!
