Blah! This movie is making NO money. I bet studios who actually thought he was a box office draw are seriously re-thinking that now.

# 2

Probably will bomb over there to.

# 3

@Celia:
lol you know NOTHING about box office do you? WFE is doing great, sucks for you tbh

# 4

This movie is like the biggest flop. Robert Pattinson can’t do anything outside of Twilight.

# 5

@Julluf
You’re just another fan in denial. It’s budget was $38 million. So far, it has barely went over $40 million. Who doesn’t know now?

# 6

Mama and her baby

# 7

@Julluf: Sorry sweetheart but Madea, a movie with a very specific target audience BEAT water for elephants despite that. Rio in its second weak beat it too.

# 8

it doesnt take talent anymore. reese can’t act and she gets 20 mil per picture.

@pale:
lmaooo you can’t compare a comedy (which has a huge following btw) AND an animation to a drama, sorry I won’t talk with newbies anymore. take care

This movie over-performed the first weekend, which means that it is doing really well…
You guys obviously know nothing about the box office.

Every article from last week said Water for Elephants overperformed, all you guys have to do is to look (LA times and a bunch others) so stop being delusional haters.

What an unfortunate comparison for her to stand next to that poster. She looks like she’s gained 20 dumpy pounds.

@Julluf
It’s oblivious that you and shannon are the same person.
And $40 million out of a budget of $38 million is not over-performing, you idiot.
That’s UNDER-performing.

@Sarah:
You are just making yourself out as a huge idiot… We are not the same person and maybe you’d be more knowledgeable if you read the news. It was targeted for middle-aged women and obviously a comedy and an animated film targeted for kids would make more during the Easter weekend.

Read the news once in a while and stop making yourself look like a big idiot.

@Sarah: And it’s OBVIOUS not oblivious… Pick up a dictionary as well as a newspaper.

you haters better have your brains transplanted with better ones you speak without sense at all

for a DARK DISTURBING DRAMA, Water for Elephants Overperformed than expected. This is not some lame chick flick as some ignorant people think it is.

Only a little over a week release and it earned already enough to cover the production cost.

It’s lifetime gross expected to be around $80M to $90M such a successful film.

FYI, Scream 4 released earlier but Water for Elephants total $ now outgrossing it.

Those comparing WFE with RIO bwahahaha 20th Century Fox will laugh at you.

Rio is Fox mainstream movie aimed for wide release and Water for Elephants is Fox darker drama movie. Fox has not expected at all for WFE to earn more than Rio by releasing the 2 movies a week apart.

Get the figures straight haters, released February, Bieber movie only has $70M Gross so far.

Water for Elephants , already recovered cost in just a week and still has long run to go in the box office. Suck that haters.

@celia @sarah @LSV hahahahaha YOU ARE EMBARASSING YOURSELVES WITH YOUR IGNORANCE. Go read boxofficemojo and boxoffice.com. WATER FOR ELEPHANTS IS A HIT MOVIE

In fact in my theater it was FULLY BOOKED in 2nd Week.

@Julluf:

It’s only made 32 million in the US and it’s been out for two weeks. It’s budget was 38 million. That’s called a flop, especially since it was predicted to earn around 30 million on opening weekend.

@jen:

I did read boxofficemojo, that’s where I got my info. Nowhere on there does it say this movie is a “hit.” Just stating the facts. If he’s such a box office draw, the film would have earned at least 20 million on opening weekend, but it barely made over 16 million.

Considering the predictions for it and the amount of money the studio has put into promoting it, that’s called a flop.

Water for Elephants will still run in the USA FOR SEVERAL WEEKS Celia have a little intelligence, love hahahaha

It is not out for two weeks only a week and 3 days and $32M in the US for Ten days is a hit hahahaha

@celia study boxofficemojo dear

Water for Elephants is a hit. PROM is what is flop this week. No flop last week among wide releases

@celia nowhere it said it’s a hit? Then you are BLIND! Hahahahaha

Dramas which have sensitive themes like Water for Elephants have mature audience who do not want rushing to watch it on weekends. That is why boxofficemojo said this film will have LEGS to stand on for WEEKS.

If you see, demographics say 70% of audience are above 25 age

You need brain if you expect films to get their cost recovered upon opening weekend. If that’s the cast Fast Five is flop too since it doesn’t recover its cost yet hahahahaha

I ask Fox Malaysia why they schedule Water for Elephants release 2 weeks late than USA and I get answer that Rio is their mainstream movie not this. For a movie not mainstream, Water for Elephants is performing remarkably well in boxoffice only few dollars behind The Notebook. That is coming from boxofficemojo.

@Celia: It was predicted to make 15 million opening weekend, not 30 million. Get your facts straight.
