Black Eyed Peas: Central Park Benefit Concert!

The Black Eyed Peas team up with Z100′s Elvis Duran and David Saltzman, Executive Director of the Robin Hood Foundation, on Monday (May 2) to announce a benefit concert in New York City.

The band will perform in NYC’s Central Park on June 9 to benefit the Robin Hood Foundation and fight poverty in the city.

“This isn’t helping some person that’s half way across the world. This is somebody you walk by every day – it’s personal. It’s about the love of New York,” Fergie told Elvis Duran on the Z100 Morning Show.

Beginning on May 11, you can enter to pick up a free ticket by registering at BlackEyedPeas.RobinHood.org – 54,000 free tickets will be available only through a random giveaway!

I was there. The difference between Diana Ross performing in the rain and The BlackEyed Peas refusing to perform was that though she performed, there was no thunder and lightening. And she stopped soon after. She had to. Fans expect way too darn much. People today are crazy. I’m also all for lip syncing as long as its your own voice you are singing over. It’shard to dance, jump around and sing. They are human beings not robots. Slow songs, okay, don’tlip synce. But expecting celebrities to dance, sing, jump around and not be out of breath. Again fans expect way too darn much from celebrities. BEP exerecised common sense. You are a fool to stand in lightening and thunder to see anyone perform. AGain Diana Ross did not have T&L that day. I was there. Excuse the typos.
