Avril Lavigne: 'Smile' Cover Artwork!

“Check out the cover for my new single Smile :)” Avril Lavigne wrote on her Facebook.

The song was written by Avril, Max Martin, and Shellback, and is the second single from her fourth album Goodbye Lullaby. Avril filmed the music video a few weeks ago and is expected to be released later this month. Can’t wait to watch it!

Avril will also embark on The Black Star Concert Tour at the end of this month to promote her album. Listen to “Smile” below!

I hope that Avril Lavigne does more mainstream movies from now on. She has only done Over the Hedge (2006), Fast Food Nation (2006), The Flock (2007) and the forthcoming Ice Age: Continental Drift. I hope that she has a role in Star Trek 12.

This is a song Pink would have wrote when she was 10.

Does she REALIZE she’s not 14-15? wtf?

even 15 year olds don’t say the F word to get attention.. and that SAYS a lot. Avril can’t accept that she’s not a kid anymore and hasn’t been a kid since the early 1990s.

Push deserves to be the third single since Avril didn’t get to put it as the second single.

Their is no confirmation that Avril has a role in the Ice Age: Continental Drift Movie and I hope she never does a role in Star Trek 12.

She should’ve released “Wish You Were Here” as the second single and “Push” as the third. This is a good song, but not one of my favorites from “Goodbye Lullaby.” And if they want to sell more, they need to relfect the true feel of the album, which is less like this song, and more like the softer, mellow material. Her “punk” fans have moved on, it’s the adult, contemporary listeners who are more likely to buy this cd.

was reading here http://www.ourstage.com/blog/2011/5/10/the-songwriters-you-didnt-know-you-loved-or-hated that max martin wrote ‘Since U Been Gone’… I was wondering why this reminded me so much of that song haha

@Marcus: You are right. I don´t unterstand why people say she is bad live or has a horrible voice. She is great live and not like Taylor Swift or Britney Spears, who cannot sing without a studio.

This song is epic I really hope it smash WORLDWIDE as her previous singles!
